Does anybody know if the SA team used a 2 bolt or 3 bolt topped coilover in the front of the skyline?

        thanks in advance.

It's a highly modified composite and heat treated 2.3 bolt top. There shouldn't be any information on it, but it might be up on SA's blog. If anything, Ross would know everything about it. ;-)

...but with any regard, every competitor seeking a sponsor is also in competition with one another to obtain sponsors -- and quite often, the very same sponsors.

If you want a proposal that "works", it had better be made by people well connected to whatever sponsor they are seeking. Meaning...obtaining sponsors really isn't much about the proposal itself. It really is a "who you know" situation.

The best way to obtain a sponsorship from any real company is to have them find YOU. When they DO find YOU, be ready to give them what they are asking for. That usually means photos, estimated costs for everything, parts of everything, etc. Be READY. The moment they catch you not "ready", they will just find someone that has the information on hand.

So what does that mean? That means that you always have your best foot forward, and try your best to just be present at everything. You'd be surprised with how companies find privateers.

              This man speaks the truth!

Just to comment on Colin's proposal, we exchanged info a long time ago and we did use some of Colin's in our proposal as well as other proposal to benefit Colin as well. I already talked to Colin about it so no drama but I will reemphasize Colin provided us with the info, not the other way around. We support Colin in all his efforts and hope he comes out, guns ablazin' next year in his new ride!

All that just went out the window. There goes being original and unique with your proposal. I'm certain this attractive and well-constructed proposal will become the template of many proposals to be sent to prospective sponsors. Just change the name and pictures and you're set with regards to the substance of the proposal. Gathering all that pertinent information must have been extremely tedious and time-consuming. Good work btw.

China and Taiwan are already producing the "Instant Proposal Template" based on all the "research and development" conducted by cfrost and sa-drift. It will soon be available at your local copycat and imitation retailer soon.

                Very nice proposal once again.

                            Hi all,

Some of you may know us others might not. High Octane Marketing and Accelerationweekly.com ( should be up some time next week). I am John Elliott and some of you might also know Steph Ramsey or Cameron Keith. Just a few insightful tips for sending our proposals.

                            1) If you have the ability do a video intro that a sponsor can watch and you can verbalize as much about yourself and your credits. Second part is a brief description of your program and needs.

                            2) Use something such as Colin has so that your proposal looks fantastic. We recommend InDesign by Adobe. If you can afford it again have illustrations or high quality stills of your vehicle.

                            3) We have been getting a ton of calls on this from sponsors. Sponsors are all wanting more then just a car to put there logo on. So we are hearing a ton about website programs. Seems this is getting to be a must for sponsorship of more then just a few parts. If you want the dollars you have to have a website program that actually works and is more then just a half way decent blog site or website. No more myspace pages. In this make sure that your site is managed well has blogs, content that gets put up at a reasonable interval of time. Such as every few weeks. Video is extremely important too. Lastly make sure your getting traffic to your website. Traffic to a website is considered " Visits " you can check these in your stats. You need to be getting some where around 1000-4000 visits a month on the very low end. This doesn't sound like alot but it is and it can be hard to get too.

                            4) Lastly this probably seems like a ton of work and a bunch of mombo jumbo to many of you. If you can find a friend or a marketing company to help you out. It might cost you a few bucks but it is worth every penny. Many of these companies have a active client list they can use. I know our client list grows every day. Typically a good company can get you places no matter how industrious you care you will never get. Especially for companies that are non race oriented. These are the people you really want are the emerging markets.

Hope this helps some of you out.

                            Peace
