I'm curious about the Friday schedule of D1's events, most notably the first event in Anaheim:
If, as their example shows, 100 drivers do show up and register:
One (and only one) practice run for each driver= 2 hours (assuming they run one car at a time, but allow a second car on track prior to the first finishing)
Next- Qualifying: the way I read it, at the first event, all cars (in their example 100) must qualify and each driver gets 3 consecutive runs.
Now lets say that D1 is REALLY organized and they have a fantastic pre-grid crew and not a single driver crashes which requires track clean up. (uh, right):
My calculations are based on each driver taking 90 seconds to get to the start line, run, come back to the start line and all of the judges tally their score before competitor starts his second and third runs, (and we assume that each driver's car is perfect and that he won't have to take one or two minutes to cool down the rad, intercooler, or change tires etc...). (again- ummm, right)
300 scored qualifying runs= 7.5 hours
