Nobody is going to buy one of those cars because they saw Sam H. drifting one.
    Give me a break.

I agree 100% with Brian. The average drift enthusiast cant afford a Viper.
      sucks for Sam and Shaun.
The energy drink market is a bit tapped already.
I don't think Monster would get involved since they invest heavily in Moto X.
If I was Nuformz I would suggest the mobile phone market.
In fact isnt Sprint/Nextel the Title Sponsor for NASCRAP?
I know T-Mobile is pretty big in motor sports sponsorship in Europe.
Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T are you guys listening?

no one with a brain would.

FALKEN going to pick him up? Dont really want him on the team but it would be cool to see the viper in falken colors.

What Formula D had to say on the subject (posted in there blog)

Formula DRIFT is saddened that the economy has caught up to another company close to Formula DRIFT. Mopar took a big gamble with our start up Series from day one and believed in the sport of drifting. During their partnership with NuFormz Racing and Samuel Hubinette, they amassed the most wins in FD history and 2 championships (2004 & 2006). We look forward to Chrysler’s restructuring and their eventual return to Formula DRIFT. In the meantime, we will work to assist NuFormz Racing to be able to finish off the 2009 season. The NuFormz/Hubinette combination is a world class championship organization, fans and sponsors can count on more success from them in the future.

          - Official Announcement by Formula DRIFT Holdings, LLC

I guess I was right in thinking that Formula D would help them out for this season. Good for them for stepping up!

Was Sam's contract with NuFormz or with Mopar ? IE Could he be a free agent seperate from both now as a result of this ?

                I think it's pretty obvious.

Sam and the Mopar team are one of THE biggest names in the series. they are going to bring in the fans (money)

FD wont want to lose that.

So, they will help them to stay in the series one way or another.

                simple.

Nice move on FD's part to protect their own interest, but it's just another reason why being a privateer sucks. Did FD throw a couple bones to Taka when he publicly requested donations to get to Atlanta?

                    I SWEAR. you are retarded.

do you know how many people boo the Viper? do you ever hear a favor to their team when Jarod makes a comparison between the Mopar vs CFR or any other team?

                    a whole lot of boos.

                      No Al, I'm not retarded.

Go ahead and watch FD on TV.

Count how many times Sam H. is on the TV and get back to me.

Companies like that don't really sponsor individual racers. They'll concentrate their dollars in sponsoring an entire sanctioning body. That way, everything can be "brought to you by AT&T". If there's money left over in their "budget", then they'll pick and choose individual racers. If there's STILL money left over in the "budget", then they'll have a party or two before and after the actual event. "Pre-party brought to you by AT&T...raising the bar!"
