Get what you want. But word of advice. Don't get the Fiero. Why on earth would you want that? Sure it's RWD and rare but it's rare for a reason. Think about it. If you want something that isn't normal in the Drift world, then you get to spend 2-3 times more money than everyone else. Everyone uses certain cars for a reason. Cheap parts, cheap bodies and cheap cheap cheap. You can find used parts, new parts and junk parts. Good luck finding more than one (if any) coilover set-ups for a Fiero.
Also search.......this question been asked 5 MILLION times in the past. It's been answered.
This isn't meant as a flame, it's meant as a wake-up call. You and the other 5 MILLION people that have asked this question could have found out all the info yourself. Also, get what you want!!!!!!!!!.

A Fiero would be interesting. Rear engine, rear wheel drive right? They're almost getting to be classics now, might be hard to find. I wanted one for my first car way back, but my dad wouldn't let me
I'm not sure about weight distribution or how easy they are to drift. I haven't heard too much about them except they're somewhat prone to catching fire, fun fun, what I've heard anyways.
300ZX might be a bit expensive. It may not be popular, but it's not unknown either. The lowest I found on AutoTrader was $2300 for an '84. For under $10k, you can get a mid 90's one. AutoTrader doesn't have a filter for turbo. Market value of a '95 turbo is around $10000, a '90 at $4000 (Edmunds.com).

I say an 86 or 240. Thats yur best shot. If you REALLLLYYYY dont want one, buy a Miata. There arent TOOO many of those.

Fieros got a bad rep due to the underpowered, fire-prone '84 model. The later GT and Formula models (especially the '88) are actually quite good. Heavier than an MR2 but with a much torquier more powerful engine (unless you can find a rare SC MR2).

i was doing some research on the miata and yes it has 50/50 weight distrobution(sp?) and they are already pretty much (suspension wise) ready to drift
as for parts in the junkyard, i'm not sure. If anyone happens to own a junkyard or knows someone that does, if you dont mind, ask about miata parts
