G1 ??

Watching my Option video, after some hot round 5 action from Ebisu (Kazama placed 2nd by the way) they showed G1.. The drivers only made solo runs and they werent the top drivers. They were like the guys who place in the 30-50th ranking area.. Im assuming its qualifying for the D1 or a lower level class. I was wondering if there are any knowledgable sources *cough* Driftxtreem*cough* that could explain to me wat G1 is.

yea its the guys that didnt make the top 28. Thats how it goes, There are 10 positions in the D1 these are the seed top 10. Then every body else needs to make the top 28 But some times they go 36.

recently most famous of the G1 drivers is mr takatori whom now drives for autobacs.

He won a round of G1, and was picked up by autobacs with his A33. he repainted the car, threw his autobacs stickers on the car and went to D1. unfortunately, he crashed before the first turn and had to retire.

A shame too, he was a good driver when he competed in G1.
