  • Found this in Wrecked magazine. I felt it should be said here too.

"Bottomline. OK the car doesn’t look mindblowing, but neither does the S chassis or the AE86. Before drifting was ever known to anyone in the USofA, The LARGE majority of the 13 to 30 year old guys would say these cars were ugly. The ones who did like these cars are the ones who drive them and found the reason why those cars are special. Then you go for a ride with a friend (who can really drive) its like you saw the car in a whole new light, and its the perfect car for you.
This is how I see the FR-S making waves in the minds of the drifting demographic. You will find out someone you know got one, and you will want a ride. If there is magic then its the car for you. if not then hopefully you can walk away at least appreciating the reason the car was made."

    • My criteria for a new car is rear wheel drive, 4 seats, under 2,800 lbs, under $26,000 and with decent styling. I for one think it looks absolutely gorgeous and can't understand why people see different.

          • Wow! I like the 86! Just downloaded the update on GT5 and just messed with the car stock and it feels great! Has anybody else tried the new ft-86 yet?

Under 8:30 on the Ring on stock eco tires. Aiming for 8:20. This thing doesn't snap oversteer like the concept. I can't wait to test drive one.
