I would have hoped they would go with the 2.0L STI motor instead.

That makes no sense.

I can imagine that conversation going a bit like this:

"Here, we'll give you this 300hp 2.5L engine that could probably break 400hp with nothing more than a boost controller"

"No thanks, I don't want 25% more displacement, I'm a fanboy"


But I wouldn't take either, those engines sound like butt.

8k redline is why. The weight of the car doesn't warrant the low end torque the EJ257 will produce. The hp is the same as the EJ20.

This could be really stupid of me and im 99% sure im wrong but the body lines are very similar to a FT86 compared to the pics of tanners scion. Could this actually be a FT86 Time will tell.
