  • Drifting a 5,000lb Classic?

Hi I am purchasing another car and I am going to see what I can do with it. Its a 1968 Cougar XR-7 Boss 302. Its the same thing as a 68 mustang with a 3 inch longer wheelbase. Has anyone else tried drifted something this large? And what do you think about it?

Couple things I would reccomend for this.

Check out Driftlive.com, as there is some muscle car stuff over there.

      Couple things:
-A set of Caltracs is a cheap way to cut out a lot of the slop in the rear leaf design
-See if you can get just a tad more steering angle out of it
-Stiffening up the suspension (springs/sways) to eliminate some of the slop will help

Most importantly, go drive. Where do you live?
