all i have to say is.. change is bad. i am in america and this may not make sense to any of you but i truly hope the new skyline never reaches american shores (other than actually importing one) it would be like soiling the greatest name of all time. the reason i say this is because 1. they would have to lower the skyline standard to use it here 2. it was and still is a dream car. and finally 3. i can't imagaine how much it would effect cars because i may never live to see a skyline but if i was to see one in america it would be ilke saying pizza hut is better than italian pizza.

When are they bringing the S15?

S15 > R3x in my opinion... This may be due to my bias for loving RWD cars.

Anyways, getting back on track. I really would like to see a R35 or R36 hit our shores... Sounds good... If it fit my budget, I'd buy it

        Matt.

Lower it to sell it here? what is this based on the S13 chassis? We have been promised near or over 400 horse power. We have been told the new Skyline will be as revolutionary as the R32 was, it will be signifigantly lighter then the current G35. And will be aiming for 911 turbo performance for alot cheaper.

Oh yeah if thats watered down then i'd be scared to see the non watered down version. You guys need to stop being so cylnical. Afterall things have changed obviously over the last few years.

Oh yes.. and its not like any R chassis ever came in rear wheel drive...

I just dont understand what exactly is wrong with a V-series vs an Inline box engine.

If u look at the old V-series engines in american cars, they didnt need alot of modding like their modern hod rodded up import cousins of today... less tuning neccessary means less money out ur pockets. Then again, less fun modding the engine...

but a V-6 would mean a more compact engine which means if in a big engine bay, you could do things you cant do with a I-6. V-Mount/ Mid-Mount Intercooler= better cooling, better performance than today's front mounts.

Less time with ur car tuning it up also means more time with your girlfriend/ girlfriends.... if u have any

You ever look at the insides of a 300z? That is one cramped engine bay.

ah....i don't think they would water down such a great car....i think its going to be the head of the nissan pack....

but...doesn't V-6 mean it hase six cylinders( 3 on both sides) meaning having the length of something like a Inline 3

maybe the z33 is cramped cuz it has a small engine bay, no one of the pros in the D1 is driving around with a V-mounted 700hp RB26 in theirs....

i thought the skyline was rear wheel drive till it needed to send power to the front. i am just asking about that system. the super HICAS system right?

Thats correct.. This system or a similar system is availible on the G35 sedan. And the new GTR is suposed to have a "next generation attessa system" no details on it yet.

LoL, Near where i live there is an original italian pizzaria where they make there pizzas how they would over in italy.

To say the least it isn't all that great and i would rather spend a few extra bucks and go buy 'Pizza Hut' pizza. For the most part everything else they sell at the Itallian place is straight up bangin'

Funny about that Italian pizza place since pizza was orginerated in america.

I thought the super HICAS system was the all wheel steering on the GT-R and even some 240sx's in America?

The 4-wheel ish system for the GF35 is recent right? like a few months (newest model) old?

A V6 does have 6 pistons, but they are almost directly across from each other ( spaced apart according to the crankshaft) Because they are just across the way, the engine is smaller, but wider. this is never really a problem because most engine switches are on new chassis designed for the car

There is a G35 coupe with Attesa coming out pretty soon....

Some magazines have tested it already.

the 240SX never had the super hicas system right? but what about this!

"Funny about that Italian pizza place since pizza was orginerated in america."
sorry man but that is just.....i am outraged.

all i have to say is....."The common belief is that Italians invented the pizza, however the origins go back to the ancient times. Babylonians, Israelites, Egyptians and other ancient Middle Eastern cultures were eating flat, un-leaven bread that had been cooked in mud ovens. The bread was much like a pita, which is still common in Greece and the Middle East today. Further it is known that ancient Mediterranean people such as the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians were eating the bread, topped seasoned with olive oil and native spices.

The lower class of the Naples, Italy is believed to have created pizza in a more familiar fashion."

                              that was taken from http://aboutpizza.com/history/

huh...never knew that, thanks. I always heard that Pizza was American. Guess it's not.

I thought that I saw a 92'(I believe) 240 for sale with the Super HICAS system in it. said alll-wheel steering. I know the R34 GTR, V spec I/II has it. Not sure about the R33/R32.

Is the Attesa system another variable 4-wheel drive system then?

BTW The skyline will not be watered down. Many of the Japanease car manufactures are switching to a V style engine. Mostly for fuel economy but this will also allow them to sell more different cars in america. We, the automotive community, have known about these forbidon fruits (Skylines, up untill recently The EVOs and the STI's, etc.) but the general public has never heard of them. Ask anybody on the streets and they will say the Lancer is a brand new car. Well it's not. It's been out for quite a long time(Probably not much longer since Mitsu might go under by winter. sucks too because that will be before the Evo VIII MR will be out over here) By changing the car with the V style engine it will allow them to bring them over here, and appeal to new customers with the look, performance, and fuel economy. People think it's a new product, they are impressed, and the company is thought of better my the general public.
my point is. The skyline will still be a badda$$ car and will not be toned down for America. What Nissan is doing is trying to extract the most performance out of America's emissions standards (California most likely). America has some of the hardest emission standards in the world. Every new skyline will be the same performance since the car will be on a world debut( Japan's might be a bit better because of the higher octane they use)

uhhh....have fun piecing togather this thing, I kept thinking while I was writing...sorry
