It's not un-realistic at all to say that the GTR could beat a Porsche. Who knows what is going to happen. Both car's are not made yet and both companies are prone to leak things to the Atuomobile communities to stir up the release of their cars. It all boils down to who has the best intel on the other and who leaks the least amount of info. That is the only way to make a better car than the person you are competeing against. Find out more information about him than he can find out about you. Classic war tactics.

I do agree with the round tail lights though. The only bad thing about that is with all of this new swoopy designs they are coming out with these days, round tail lights are getting harder and harder to incorperate into a car in a way that is desirable and flows well. We don't want anything like the current Impala now do we.

Plus you guys need to remember that designs will change over the next couple years depending on the popularity of different sports that these cars can go into. Drifting being one of them. As popularity grows within this community, designs will be inflenced and modified by these.

the g35s head lights jsut don't look right to me. they're not agressive enough. it looks too much like a maxima or something.

It would out run the boxter but i highly doubt the porsche 911 twin turbo or the 911 Ruf or whatever.
        Just my opinion

        peace
The Z can keep with the 911 na already.

The ruf is not a production car.

Cuz thats exactly how we feel about 2000 911s.

            Hah!
The GTR was promised 2 years ago and still nothing.
This is also the same guy who killed off the RB and SR engines in the new models

To me a GTR is a twin turbo STRAIGHT six , always has been.

The sound of one of these things at 9K with a big exhaust has been known to make grown men weep...

            Cheers

              The original wasn't...

But god-forbid Nissan might try something new... something you'll maybe like better

I guess I've never driven an RB, but the VQ is a hell of an engine.

All ya gotta do to make a GTR is this.
                1. Add Attessa to the 350Z. (weighs less than the G35)
                2. Grab one of the roots blower kits that are on the market. Roots blowers have a broader torque range than a turbo and have instant boost with no lag. According to DX Veilside's new kit made 400hp at the rear wheels. (or just throw the 4.5L V8 in there)
                3. Complete Nismo Suspension.
                4. Veilside Fortune bodykit and some Andrew wheels.

Viola!! Add 93 octane pump gas and cook tires well

Nah thats too american of them. You gotta do your own thing. One of the reason alot of guys are sore that there isnt a inline 6, it was kindof nissans thing for a while.

But sence we are going to the v6. the G35 chassis is already the skyline, Skyline was always a luxury sports seadan and coupe But you lighten it up with alluminum and carbon fiber and by stipping all the luxury crap out for the GT-R version

they already have a twin turbo motor they are racing in japan in the r34 chassis race cars, escuse me i mean a Twin turbo vq34dett, which is a modified version of the G35/Z cars motor, i think it has alittle shorter stroke which is why its 3.4 liters. So hell the engine is made! the Chassis is made. they just need to modify it to make the GT-R version. Plus the two stock turbos will probably be pretty responsive anyways. The skyline isnt about tire melting torque, Its about a no holds bard technologically advanced sports car. And they promise the new GTR will break barriers like the old R32 GTR did. So i suspect that means more advanced traction systems and light weight materials. If it comes out at R32 weight, then we will be in business. oooh Perhaps they will design some kind of twin scroll turbo like the Evo uses. to boost response.

Anyways whatever happens it sounds like it will be pretty badass. i cant wait.

The 350Z slapped around the 911 Carrera at Tsukuba for those who might have not watched the Best Motoring episode. When Nissan says 911,I'm pretty sure there after the 911 Turbo, since they are already ahead of the Carrera.

Finally! Like 2 years ago, i was talking to a salesmen at a Infiniti dealership about the r35, he was telling me that america would get the 4wd TT 400hp gt-r model some time soon

He said the only problem would be the price, he wasn't too sure but he thinks that it will cost about $50-70k!

A little rich 4 my blood, i'd rather drop a RB in a honda prelude than pay that much!

i really don't care if it is an RB or a VQ. both engines are great, if one is faster than so be it. Yes, the RB is more heritage and would be nice to see, but the R32( possibly the greatest skyline of all time) was aboout mind blowing performance and trying new things to achieve this performance.

The G25 is a sweet car, but it just doesn't look like the regular GT-R. There is a reason for this, The G35 is NOT a GT-R, but a regular skyline. You guys do know you can get 4-door skylines right, they aren't all GT-Rs'. The GT-R version of the G35 probably will look baddass. change the fronty valence a bit, redo the sideskirts, back end, add a nice low wing, drop in a VQTT and were ready to roll!

I've ridden in both. I would take a RB anyday over the VQ. Inline is always better for modding. It can rev higher plus produce way more horsepower due to forces in the engine not fighting themselves as would a V series engine. Nissan had a good thing going with the RB.
