How about picking up an Associated(RC10) TC3 RTR. Comes with a decent 20 turn motor and a Lynx AM radio. Parts are all over the place for that car. There are so many upgrades available for it too. Then you can just pick up whatever body you want and those Yok drift tires. Check e-bay or www.towerhobbies.com

I had a Traxxas Rustler that I used to drift but I don't have good luck with R/C's. They don't seem to hold up well and there isn't any place within 100miles to go buy parts. Plus they are expensive (you need about 300 bucks just to get started). One day if I get a little money I'm gonna send my Rustler into Traxxas and get it fixed. That little guy is dead stock but d@mn is it fun!!

It seems to me that you want a package, so with that in mind you just need to pick a good RTR.
As far as RC Drifting is concerned, the car isn't as vital as it is for circuit racing because all you need is 4WD and PVC pipe over the wheels, soft front suspension, slightly harder rear suspension and away you go.
I Drift a TC3 and an old Losi Street Weapon (my fave Drifter), if you decide on either of these routes, you can see a full setup sheet *HERE*
The Yokomo Drift is a great Drifter by all accounts but gets expensive on Drift rings (relative to PVC pipe)

Just get some PVC pipe... I have the RTR Traxxas 4tec for 180 and comes with everything but charger and batteries... then the PVC pipe is like 40cents a foot... so its cheaper then some say... Oh, and just ask some people that where at the Aug. 21st TexasDrift meet... they saw me out there... with my R34 body.
