Option2 Magazine doesn't exactly revolve around drifting. It's mostly Japanese performance cars in general. But it is pretty sad to see an Option2 sticker on a riced-out Honda going down the street with spinner hubcaps, cut springs and "Euro tails".

Yeah, I know, it's just that Option 2 is so highly regarded as a drifting icon here in the West. It's more amusing to see that than rednecks banging on a Nissan to slideways. You know how many of those "New Driver" stickers I see on the hondas this way..........

Hey no one should bang on Mustangs. They are very competant cars. The real drivers are the ones that don't have all that stuff sticking out all over their cars. But the majority of Mustang drivers get their car, bolt on the requisite Flomasters, turn their hat around backwards and try to race every car on the road. I kill more Mustangs that way than I care to count. There are some insan fast ones out there. I wouldn't see any reason that a Mustang can't be set up to make a realy nice slider.

Heck the fastest I ever went in a car was my 90 Mustang. 156 (on a close dhighway of course). I like em. I also like to beat em.

If you drift and think you'll never be mocked then you got another thing coming...

i know people who hate japanese cars

once the find out japanese RR cars are now drifting

every car that drifts will be assumed rice...i think that'll be same for domestics...

sad to say but i wouldnt give a rats A$$ on what someone said...but if they said something about my car...

          ..then it'd be effn on...

LOL, those flowmasters are the 1 thing I don't have, (waitin to see if I'm moving out of CA before I figure which way I'm going with exhaust.) Not alot of motor work done on her yet; right now is suspension, drivetrain and cooling.........

My 90 model was built at JBA and then shipped over with a guy in the Military who ended up in Fla. The car had no emissions so they couldn't sell it to anyone in the city. I got it cause I had a Georgia address. It had 425 stock block HP. It was the pre-courser to the Dominator kits that they came out with in the mid 90s. It had the JBA Shorty headers, TFS heads, 303 cam, MSD ignition, Doug Nash close ratio 5 speed, Saleen suspension, Kenne Bell Ram Air system, Underdrive pulleys, 3:55 gears but stock wheels. It would flat out haul after you got the rear end to stop spinning. It was funny looking though because it had the chrome strip down the door like you see people writing stuff in like "I C U lookin" and stuff. It was black with the Saleen wing and was a Hatch.

My other 90 that I just got rid of bout 2 years ago was pretty much stock under the hood cept for headers but had the boxed lower control arms, the frame and body re-inforcements that run the entire length of the body, KYB's, oversized sway bars, T-Bird brakes I think. Someone else put all that on there. It also had the things, not sure of the exact name, that you put on the rear end and had to drill holes in the floor. Man that car would handle like it was on rails. We ran it in the Georgia Z-club rally and just had a blast.

I like Mustangs. I like anything that is fast. I don't discriminate on cars or powerplants. I'd be just as happy with an LS1 in my FD as I would with a Rotary. As long as it's fast, it's fine with me.

                  Sounds like sub frame connectors.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat, I just like fast cars.......I'd like to build up a '90 civic and I looove rx7s, also a nice 300z would be fun...

Just wanted to add to this forum. I liked drifting when it was called power slides in WRC. That's how I got into it. Also, don't be mad if drifting becomes "mainstream" I doubt it will anyway. And if it does, who cares, the real drifters and drift fans will stay for the duration and the fad leeches will find something else. It's like anything, are you mad when your favorite indie/underground artist blows up? Or when something that you and a small group enjoyed became more popular? If drifting gains poularity, then we have more events to check out. More people in different parts of the US will have the oppurtunity to check out something they really enjoy. Anyway, that's just my soapbox. peace.
