Man, I'd probably be spending more time with you than I would with my family if I lived close to your school. (If you would put up with me of course ) Good luck with the school and I hope you accomplish your dream.

Hey I appreciate the compliments bro, perhaps, as with the other promising student, I could contact you via email and give you instructions and answer any questions you may have about drifting and/or spirited driving in general.

      Take Care,

Anyway this was my first wreck. It happened on a touge pass, I went around a turn and totally lost momentum sideways, long story short, I went into a light pole head on. OUCH!

                P.S. I replaced the hood.

This one was just all off. Another victim of the touge. I totally bombed around this turn WAY too fast, then I just completely lost it. I must have hit a slick spot because I'm better than that. But anyway, I just completely killed this car. Put it this way, I came around a turn at the top of the mountain pass, and I didn't stop bouncing off of walls until I reached the main street at the bottom.

That was total ouches. Now I know what you're thinking, why am I mad at Skylines for errors that I CLEARLY made. Well, it wouldn't be so bad if I would get into a Silvia and make the same mistakes. But the beautiful machine known as Silvia was designed almost perfectly for drifting.
I bought an S13 Silvia shortly after losing my grey Skyline, and I will never go back. In the short time that I had my Silvia (about 4 months) I was able to pull of zero-countersteer drifts, and they didn't all have this feeble angle, some actually had some pretty good angles, but I just didn't have to do anything with the wheel, just hold it straight. My Silvia was my baby, and it hurt bad when I had to part with it, but I gave it to my drift instructor, so I know it's in good hands right now. Shin wouldn't do ANYTHING to hurt a Silvia, or a CAR for that matter. But anyway, I was also able to take those SAME turns at the SAME speed that I tried with the Skyline, with the Silvia, and I was able to pull them off. Like it was easy.

So maybe the Skyline wasn't built for drifting. Oh well, it's still the first car I'd chose to street/highway(wangan) race with.

I am in Maryland now. Duty station was with 3rd Marines in Hawaii and our deployments were to Okinawa. What was your MOS? Were you an 11? I was a 31. Damn I hated humping those 50s around. Actually I hated humping period. Humping is about the 5hittest of the 5hitty things to do. Maybe that's why I enjoy driving so much now.

I'm sure you are a nice guy and your resume looks impressive but i'll give you 2 days to take "Demo Driver for Drift 411" out of your Signature, then i'm closing this thread and any that you put up in the future. I happen to know the owners of Drift 411 and they do not have a Demo team. Far as i'm aware, I can find out if need be, you are not a demo driver for CCR either.

So please remove any mention of affiliation with Drift 411 from your post.

                          Thanks.

                            But, I'm a man of my word and I'll remove them . . .

Understood. Like I said, i'm sure your resume is great and you seem like a really cool guy, what you are doing certainly sounds cool. I was just asked to address this so I did.

                            Take care.

But trust me my fellow drifters. This blue, turbocharged, Sil-Eighty will be worth the wait. If' not, I'll sell it and get a Hachi-Roku. AAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA NOT!
