  • A Drifters Pain

    Well bad news guys,

I was driving home last night around 12:30 going through a curve that ive been through a million times at the regular 35 mph.... BUT thing was, i wasnt fully awake. Well as things tend to be f***ed up, there was a patch of dirt that my drooping eyes didnt see, and by the time i realized it.... Bam!! I had hit a fence pole in the ditch.

I was driving my newly aquired S14, just spent 4,000 to get it on the road and then like a jacka$$ i go and drive tired. Now i have a f***ed front bumper , the headlights are shattered , and i bent both the fenders and the hood.... and one of the bumper mounts went through my radiator.

Now good news is, the frame is ok.... i got lucky there, no engine or suspension damage.... phew... (just got 4 tokico struts wrapped with some ebachi pro kit springs)

So i guess the moral of the story is, even though were used to high speed cornering and driftin our way down the road, remember the basics, and dont do like me. If your tired, sleep in the car.

*edit* b t w ... Theres no way in hell this is gonna stop me, ill be damned if i aint gonna scrape up the cash for a new front end. Probably just gonna go with the S15 conversion front end.

whew, glad i drive an fc, it sounds like a bad time to drive a nissan =( i feel your pain though guys, 3 weeks after i got my protege i got rear-ended by a cell phone driver, i was stopped at a red light and she hit me going 50 mph and only hit the brake after contact was made. =( the good news is that the two people in my back seat walked away from the accident with no injuries, and my car got fixed good as new, i hope that you guys have similar luck with your endevors.

Yea some guy who was talking on the cell phone while my sis was at a red light on her motorcycle he didnt even slow down he was goin 45-55 but she saw him in her mirrors so she sped off to the side walk and he ended up hitting the person my sis was behind and the car had a domino effect that hit 3 other cars. So happy my sis got out in time.

Hum, just wrecked my Jetta doing something very similar. I ran through a fence and under it instead of the fence pole. Shop quoted $9000, so insurance will probably total it. My premiums are going to be anus.

No accident, but about three weeks ago my FC just decided not to start, and hasnt since. no warning either. so its not just nissans that are in peril.

Well got some good news, a guy i know is gonna charge me 50 bux to pull out my bumper and straighten it out. I just ordered the S15 front end conversion so she will be fixed.($2,119.00) Even though i was planning on goin to the s15 front end, i wanted an Sr20Det swap first. I mean i like em to be faster than they look

Good luck with everyone who has damage, and if ya live anywhere near me i can lend ya an extra wrech.

Oh yeah, anyone know about how much modifacation is necessary to make the S15 front end fit flush?
