i like the 87 and up nothing older. 87 had the 5mge which easily could change out to a 7mgte....me i shoot for the a 1j. Nothing like drifting the family to the grocery store.

wait, you mean these things are actully drifters?? mann there is one for sale like 2 miles away form me, for like $700, i dont know the exact year (probally 89 up) or the condition (looks in good condition), butt mann $700 OBO.

yea cressidas are dirt cheap, when they came out they were about 30,000

while cheap to purchase they are gonna be a bish to find parts for unless you feel like doing alot of yahoo auctions japan shopping or custom fabricating. but gl cressidas are sickkkk

umm you can do anythign u want to a car, just need the $$. I dont know if a JDM jzx81 aftermarket one would fit. I also hear a jza70 supra one can fit, i dont kno check the forum! www.toyotacressida.com they have tons of info.

Okay, Cressidas, just like any OLD car, need A LOT OF WORK. My first $6000 I had for the Cressida, was gonna go to custom coilovers, 2JZ swap, 19x9/10.5" wheels, but NO! It ALLLL went into maintanence and getting her to run right.

5-speed conversion is easy blah blah blah, bullsh1t. Needs a lot of work, and unless you're mechanically inclined, it's a real pain int he butt, and expensive to take to a mechanic, basically changing the gearset for the car.

Drifting it... good luck, I got a lot of help from friends and instructors and used their feedback as well as videos of me to help improve the driving, the heavy 3200+ weight stripped with no interior is no help either.

Parts... gahahahah... you have two choices... import($$$), or custom($$$x3).

My next drift project car is going to be an Infiniti J30 for many reasons. 5-lug wheels, 4 piston calipers with HUGE brakes stock, LSD stock, with BOLT-IN, yes, BOLT-IN Z32 twin turbo engine and 6-speed, and Zeal coilovers imported. Good luck on your search, and I have a friend whose putting a 13BT in a 90' Mazda 929 with around 450 bhp.

What are you referring to? so far there has been alot of links and input made by many people here in general converstion and getting the info out.

What makes things suck is seeing comments like this one and i know what i am talking about when i see this.

I will point out one thing that he started his thread with......He stated he doesnt have alot of money. so people pointed that out...not that it couldnt be done. plus i see no reference to the 5 sp swap???????????????
