I've said it before and i will say it again, Its easy to complain, it is harder to contribute. PLee1500 complained but he also gave advice and information. This forum will only get better if the real drifters post real things. Tech articals, ideas, thoughts, techniques, howtos, experience, pictures ect...
d000d if ur so scared of what ur friends would think that u post here maybe u shud just leave. I posted some info that i thought would help everyoen who was interested in this car. I never said that im the god of cressida. I was just throwing out some research i been doing.
All i know is that all the info was getting to the thread starter. then i saw that comment regard this board sux and such so i decided to address that. as i read on the posts are getting more fragmented...is it just me?
Anywho....like NIKE...just do it. get the cressida and make it happen. I myself am looking at a Q45...because its different and i cant get a laurel or cefiro that i want. not to mention i want to be the first on the block with it twin turbo'd or with a VQ swap.
to my knowledge i remember reading that the supra rear subframe can swap out lending to a great possibility of lsd. also the suspensions are the same. Once you get digging it becomes a cross reference between all the models that had equal components. Supra suspension should be easy and most suspension components. manifolds will cost some I had cross referenced all sorts of stuff for my RB20 swap. Im sure there is a cressida board(forgot the name) that had all the swap info too.
I think im realizing my dream... i wanna get a EG6 and jus become a touge runner up un the white mountains of NH... Keep things JDM in the land of park rangers and moose

Good idea. But most of the Real Drifters dont go to this site he he. They contribute to their designated car catergory. (eg, Club4ag, fc3s.org, tougefriends.com, etc)

I dont get what you mean by "real drifters" we have guys here who drift. THats pretty real to me. I drift, i go to this site. Guys like Ghost and CH drift they come to this site. We have alot of kids but we have alot of 'real drifters' perhaps they arent the best, or the best known. I am by no means a great drifter yet. But we are always improving and working on it.
i dont care where the "real drifters go" i've lurked on 4ag, there are alot of jerks on that site. So i wont go to it. It doesnt mater what site you go to , they are all pretty similar. I dont care if keichi tsuchya started visiting http://www.*Censored**Censored**Cens...d*.com/forums/ that doesnt give me a right to *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* about this site and not try to help out.
Hey i have been looking at all the great site you guys showed me but i still cant find the weight ratio and does anyone have like a list or the hole cars indovail parts weights ex. doors engine hood trunk frame and so on thanks
lol sorry i strayed off topic, its because he said i was convincing him to get a cressida, but at the same time i was convincing myself i want a eg6 to run the touge with... lol
I remember at one of our Drift Session, this guy Justin that drives an AE86 had some car problems and his AE86 was no longer able to compete. Well he had paid $60 (I think) to drift, and he didnt want to waste his money, so he went home and got his daily driver (Chris has posted about this before). Anyway, his daily driver is a completely stock white Cressida. At the time, I didnt know anything about Cressida's, and I actually thought it was a Maxima or something. But I tripped out when I saw it was RWD watching the smoke mid drift (Justin is a good drifter). I think he pretty much proved you can drift in a completely stock Cressida. Yes I did get it on video. I'll have to go find that clip!!
There are some people that I do listen to (Chas, J-blood, Ghost of Duluth, DX, etc) because I know that they have real world hands-on experience. It things like when people say "oh, that transmission just slips right on to that motor with no work at all" when they haven't turned a single bolt on the car in question. The problem I have is that so many people just spout off stuff that they've read on other forums and in magazines as being fact and at times entire conversations can be held with nothing but breaths of hot air... I try to contribute way more than I complain though. I've also submitted a long list of changes that I'd like to see for the board in "moderation" and it got a lot of support from other people, but nothing ever happened. I'm glad that Nissanguy has been taking care of business and really participating and I think it's really putting the board in a better direction. I know that the BS is just a part of internet forums, but can't you mods make a BS-o-meter or something?
Thanks for listening - if you didn't listen I can understand and don't hold it against you...
anyway...

On dgtrials.com forum, "sprinter666" (matt) is quite the cressida buff - those who are interested ought to check out some of the tech stuff he's typed about Toyota's G-machine.
If anyone has any urges to get Cress's, I would also reccomend that you do so in the very near future! With both drifting and VIP style on the rise, the Cress will most likely be one of the next hot cars to own...
