The S2000 is a car RS*R is building. The body you see is a C West dry carbon body. Very expencive and feel bad about ruining it on its first event. Those fenders are 2k. Doors about 4K. It is kinda good that it happened before the sticker job got done. If you look at all the RS*R cars, it is not paint but the whole car in done in vinal (sticker). The S14, was Kazu's personal car and is still bright green under it. Open the doors and hood and you will see some of the green showing.
No, being sponcered by cusco isnt bad. Cusco does not make there own parts by the way. If you pay attention to the aftermarket industry, you are not buying japanese parts but japanese boxed and marketed parts. Most everything is made in Taiwan and China. Clutches and flywheels are made here in the US. Brakes and pads are made in Europe. Look around in some of the japanese mags, you will see multiple companies selling the same suspension parts under different names and colors. Its because they originally came from a single manufacturer.
There was some controversy over who was Ueo was going to drive for this year.
They're (Yukes) the Japanese branch of (I believe) Jakks Pacific. They make video games. They're most known for the Smackdown series, which judging by the coverage it gets in the japanese gaming press, is almost as popular there as it is here.
Ueo should come down to Hawaii though if he ever did...I would hope it would be for some big event. Cause I don't feel like being left out again from seeing another D1 driver drifting.
Sadly no not yet...I'm out of cash at the moment to have it finished. I had to pull my wisdom teeth and my insurance didn't cover it. Bastards...had to spend like $853 for only the bottom two. Still gotta pull the top two later on. So right now I'm nice and broke.
