this makes no sense to me. when you talk on the phone the other person is usually on at the same time as you...

I can assure you when Weapon X speaks he means it. He is not the type to suck up to someone just because they are a girl. Hes a good guy whos not afraid to dissagree with anyone.

I am sick of the ricers. my friend i know has a 90' Mitsubishi Galant that he "drifts" in. rice to the core. neon, sticks, ugh its awlful. i was riding with him one day he decide to "drift" his car. he goes around the curb at 45mph in the library parking lot ( full of ppl and its around 4:00 PM in the afternoon) yanks the e-brake and nearly spun out and hit a car. Noobs arent stupid...they just lack alot of common sense. then again this is the same guy who cut off his muffler to make his car sound more powerful. its people like this that will get the scene a bad name.

What i dont understand is WHY posers are even trying to destroy the reputation of drift even before it has really established itelf on u.s. soil. I mean i have given a couple examples where ff posers come into several of my drift spots and then try and act like they know more than i have ever know in my two years of actual drift experience(and still learning cant stress that enough).

Why is there no respect for us anymore, i mean in japan even if you were old or young everyone got along, but here. It's like everyones on their own and no one can do anything about it. The drift culture i have witnessed for the past four and half years in option magazines and videos are all about the greater good not the "I'm number one" principle. Where have we gone people? This is becoming more of a sport for showoffs w/o any kind respect, the amateurs who have never even seen an actual drift event or atleast gone on a real touge, have treated me like im the poser, What the hell?!!

I hate bandwagons, always have and always will. We need to hand out some free option videos or something so these first timers would atleast understand what is actually going on.

....Ive earned more respect than that from my Drifting peers here, just as they have earned mine.

stick around and read for a bit before making judgement calls.

              Thanks SMC.

To clarify a few things Mr Pfeifer, she's been here since the beginning and she's not the only girl on this forum. I said what I did because I liked her post, sorry if I didnt make that apparent. We've both been on the forum a long time, the novelty of her being a girl would've struck me long before now dontcha think?

if i'm right there have already been alot of postes that are about the same subject and the same point of view...what's the use in another one? This has been said multiple times a webboard won't get cleaned up within a few weeks it takes @ least a few months...there will always be dumb quesiton that pop up over and over again, thats why we have moderators they moderate the boards and keep'em clean. imo, this post was another waste...cause everybody that has some sort of memory will remember postes by Ghost of Duluth and multiple other moderators staing exactly what alex has jus said. Jus go with your merry way people. Drifting is a fad right now...it will be big for awhile and everybody is gona be wanting to join so they can become drifters, but they really don't know what they're gettin theirselves into. Just report postes and let the moderators do their job. Whats the dealy people? Jus because a pro postes all of a sudden everybody is all over this mess...

What hasn't help this forum in the past is where I've posted good information, and it gets removed without any explaination given.

haha exactly...why wouldn't you call it FF drifting? because some people with RWD cars use the ebrake, but not as much.

The problem is...it started going off topic in page one..not by Chris and me

edit: You know who has changed the forums before the pros and actually made the forum interesting? Lorin from DX, SMC aka nissanguy, Ghost, Chas, Weapon x, and A LOT more.

All T'm saying is don't forget about the ordinary people who brought this forum up, and tried to teach all of the newbies. And don't forget the godly Pimpness of Lorin. ..I'm glad you pro's are here, don't get me wrong. I'm just saying just not to forget the roots.

The important thing is we arent changing it any more, or waisting time by argueing with a moderator about it.

for the hole ppl asking the same questions all the time maybe this will help ive seen it work on another forum.

in order for a person to start a topic the topic first goes to a mod only forum and then if it is approved then it is moved to the proper board.

it might seem like alot of work for the mods but that forum was one of the cleanest ive been on before. to bad it was closed its a shame that was a fun place to be.
its just an idea thought id post it

Ok. We all have a story or 2 about this, that and the other. But in the end it all boils down to the people. Everyone says that they hate ricers and blah blah blah. Adam, anyone besides yourself is not a poser. Who cares if someone in an FF comes to your spot and tries to act cooler than you. Let em. Then show them what you got. Plain as that. Don't whine about the food chain, be the top of it. Nobody treats me like a poser on my mountain, it's hard to treat a pair of dwindling tail lights like a poser. You are the only person that can change how you are viewed in your spot. Besides, it has been like that forever. I don't know what part of America you came from that they all get along, but it ain't where I live or have lived.

People that are into sports like this, cars, Drifting, Street Racing, etc are a different breed of people. Yes some of us are nice and easy to talk too but underneath all of that, there is usually a fierce determination to be the best. Now some of those people use the "BS theory" which is, If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with BS. Alot of others in the scene hide lack of skill with the thug mentality. Then there are the bandwagoneers, people that are either not skilled enough or too scared to do what they are actually trying to emulate. These are not to be confused with noobs. But they can be both at the same time. Drifting is new, it's hot and there are going to be people that come into your spots and try to usurp your kingdom. It is up to you to defend it. Point blank. If you let someone come and take your spot, then you have failed.

When people go to my spot, I want them to tell all their friends, "Man did you see that black FD, Holy jeez he was fast". There is a red FD on my mountain that holds the record and EVERYBODY around my neck of the woods knows this guy. Matter of fact, he holds the record for car AND motorcycle. The Dragon is 318 curves in 11 miles, many of these are 180 hairpins, blindcurves and just plain craziness. This guy did it in 9 min 48 seconds on a bike and 10 mins 18 secs in his FD. Everyone that runs that road knows either the car or the man. That is how you should be. Above the rest if you want to keep your spot.

As for the pro's being here, it's a great idea. Everyone of you who has whined and complained about how Drifting is being taken over by corperations, noobs, space aliens or whatever, now have the top of the pile to speak up and voice your opinions too. These guys are here to help you and listen to your ideas and maybe pass them on. I don't think they are here to give you a hard time. Such as, I don't think anyone was serious about the stroking it comment. If you got upset about that, well then, maybe you were and you have to admit that to yourself. So listen to what they have to say, if you don't agree, then voice it out to them. They are nice guys and will take it in stride just like anyone else will.
But here is your chance to finally get what you want to say out to someone that can actually do something about it. Utilize that instead of talking about it.

Throw me a fricking bone here.

It makes us all look bad when people are talking about crashing, touge running, street drifting, ff drifting mom's car. (ff drifting in general, it allways starts an agument)
---Alex, who are you? are you a Professional Drifter er something? you must be pretty good from the way you act on this board. Street Drifting is the heart and soul of the sport, not people like you with all the sponsors talking down to the people who are trying to get where you are now. If your so damned good, then how come we haven`t heard about you over here. hmm? must not be too famous. You talk about Noobs? how long have you been "Drifting"? me and my boys have been doin it over here since 1991. when did you start, when it bacame the "IN" thing? Why don`t you come over to the ORC drift contest comin up? lets see how you do against some of the Okinawan "Street Drifters". your famous, I`m sure your sponsors will support you. I guarantee you will have your butt handed to you. I have nothing against you, I just think maybe you should be a little more humble about your success.

PS most of my guys will be in the contest too, as they have been in every contest that comes up. bring it
