Alex, this is why I post once in a great while. Only if I have something relevant to say like right now.
I kinda take all the noob crap with a grain of salt. Everyone was there at one point. I completely agree with this attitude about education. Way to go!

No one is saying to get rid of all the newbies, or that they all make us pissed... All we are saying is people should think before they post sometimes. Like aphxero said... everyone was there at one point. Even you Alex!

I have been here for a while, but my account name was srewed up. I have been reading over the past 6 months and I find this site to be entertaining and valuable.
I think it is great to see the "pros" step forward. Chris, you were the first pro drifter that I have talked with. Its cool that you answered most of my questions and kept me interested in learning how to drift. I see people like yourself, Gushi, Fixmer, and the rest of the american drifters as demi-gods. I would love to lay it down with the japanese drifters.
Granted some of the content on this board is dinky-doo, but thats your jobs to correct us. We are here for fun and education. The pros help us out, and we keep you all on your toes.

Americans didn't grow up with the sport and culture of drifting the way the Japanese did, so there are a lot of people out there just don't have a clue other than knowing drifting is cool. We pretty much hit the pavement running. But, I took something said by Ueno Takahiro and I've tried to make it a personal goal. He said that if a person truly has a passion for cars (esp drifting) then they should spend the time to find out as much as they can on their own, even if it does become time consuming, because the learning experience would be more rewarding that way. He also said that everyone expects answers by just asking someone for them. I still believe that people should talk to each other to learn more about the sport, but people should have a good idea on things before they start blindly asking questions. I really appreciate the pros coming out to help us, you guys seriously are heros to me. I'm always inspired by your runs on the track. I had a previous post asking if pros visit this site and BAM, they're all here now. Being able to talk and respond is awesome. If the pros take time out of their busy schedules to answer our questions, I believe we should take it upon ourselves to go beyond questions about parking lot drifting sessions. Thanks again

CrazyHawaiian,
My comments on post whoreing where just to stir things up. You and a few other members in here are accets, because you share your knowlege with people. I like your attitude about things, you can admit when you are wrong.
slide, Well said!!
RyanHampton <-- is a *Censored**Censored**Censored* nOOb!!
totoro001,
We all know that. Yes this is the premire drifting forum, this is why we chose to clean this one up. Hell, we may get tired in a week and give up, who knows.
DriftGirl,
1) agreed
2) good point, but they are talking smack about something they don't know.
3) yup
4) I hope too.
5) I dont think its nessarily wrong, yes we were all young and stupid hell im still stupid), but touge and street stuff should be like going to vegas. What happens there stays there.
Unclever Name,Weapon X,Drift Alliance
One Girl on this board and everyone starts strokeing it. Clean you computer screens guys, there is porn for that.
Nemesis, im not sure what you mean
Everyone,
I'm not saying kill the nOObs, without them there wouldnt be a sport or people buying drift related stuff (no one bought my mag ), but anyway. We all were that way once too and/but we do need to educate them and head them in the right direction. This board is doing a good job of that.
To the Mods, can you guys split up the forum somemore? put in a ff side to the drifting section. Call it the e-brake room or something?

5) Its 100% wrong to drift on the street or to streetrace in any way shape or form. Im not saying that i havent or dont do it, but I certainly dont advocate it...my actions may (or may not) prove different, but im not a professional driver thats been pushed into the 'Role model' limelight.
People need to be eduacted about the 'sport', but soon you will realize that you will need to re-educate yourself if this is the role you've accepted in the scene.
Cant have it both (Underground vs PRO) ways. By all means 'Keep it real', but now responsibility to the scene will start to play a factor in the years to come.
The scene is young here and you have a captive audience..........what you do from here is up to you.
Just my 2cents.....
Best of luck...all eyes on yoo!!!Last edited by DriftGirl; 05-21-2004, 10:30 AM.

That is why drifting is so cool, the pros are down to earth and are interested in raising the rooks correctly. See the guys that have been on here since nearly the beginning have been swimming though and ignoring the crap for a long time. We have just stopped trying to correct all the new people that just post a few times then leave because it is impossible.
P.S. I am posting from my Auto Body class so I didn't have a lot of time to read and post. Sorry. Some of us just post a lot because it is like talking on the phone and the person doesn't have to be on at the same time you are.
