If your title says 240sx SE then it is probably an SE because base model never came with a moon roof, or power locks and mirrors, base model has power windows only and no moonroof. Not every SE came with lsd, it was an option when you bought the car from the factory. If you have 4 lug no front lip and no SE badges it dosent mean your car is not an se, he could have removed the badges or replaced the trunk lid also the same goes with the front lip and fog lights. Since the car is four lug, one of the owners could have sold the 5 lug parts or removed them and put on 4 lug before they sold the car. Base model S14 came in four lug.
I know not all SEs came with LSD, I said it in my first post. I also know base models are 4 lug, I see them every day.
It doesnt seem likely someone would go to the trouble of replacing the trunk lid, hubs, front lip, and foglights on their SE as well as take the badge off just to sell it. Also, I'm farily certain other trims besides SE came with a moonroof.
remember, for the turning the wheel by hand LSD test you have to have the car in gear.
now if you hand turn one wheel forward and the other wheel spins backward, you have an open-diff.
if its tough to spin one wheel but both wheels spin in the same direction you have an LSD.
as for the peeling-out testing method, this can be misleading. with a miata, even with an open diff, a peel out will leave two rubber patches on the ground because the independent rear suspension puts no twisting torque on the tires and there's equal weight down on both wheels (its when you're in corners that you experience the crappiness of an open-diff).

my s14 se has power everything 5lug, open diff, no sunroof,rear spoiler,foglights, no abs, everything exactly as i wanted. it now has my sr and kaaz diff and some other goodies .my main concern was 5 lug and power everything and NO SUNROOF. ihate sunroofs

It makes since *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored*. Only SE's cam with LSD's, all SE's are 5lug, he has a 4lug, therefore he doesnt have an LSD. Close the thread now.
well ive come to the conlusion that i probably dont have one. now im in the market for one. who knows the best place to buy a good clutch-type LSD for cheap? i figure it wont really mater which company i go with, they all do the same thing
Nismo is now in north america, You can get there LSDs for about 700-800 now.. Instead of nearly twice that much like you used ot have to pay. Might want to call up a local nissan dealer, see if they have even heard of Nismo.. (some carry nissan parts othere will stare at you blankly)
