i agree drifting isnt a cash cow as of yet, drifters buy parts liek coil overs and differentials that were never specificaly aimed at drifting to begin with, and it hasnt been until recently that companies have come out with "drift spec" products, and alot of the produts wouldnt make your car any better for drifting, and i think alot of drifters know this and buy what they think is a better product, and as far as press goes, there arent any drifting magazines hear in the states that ive seen, no media company has put one out thatr i know of either. but mags do articles and have "drift issues" to more or less say, "hey were up on the newest stuff come read us", to try to get new people to read thier mag and subscribe, and not do another article about drifting for another few months, cause all the profit is in the comeback, they dotn make alot of profit from one drifting edition or article.

Are there good parts to bad publicity? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound harsh at all. I guess something that comes to mind about all this, is that drifting was originally for fun, but once things become more and more mainstream, the roots of the sport become more and more obscure. That's what this site should be all about. This should be the site where you learn that you don't need thousands of dollars worth of parts to drift, just good skill, because I know the mainstram media will tell you otherwise. Mainstream media isn't all bad, they just seem to take the approach that will make them the most money. Am I wrong?
