you people are all picking cars that are just your favorites lol, one of the best cars for drifting is actually the MX5...I am saying that and I don't even like that car. another awsome car for drifting is the Suzuki Cappuccino. The smaller the wheelbase of the car the easier (and faster) you can control and change your drift angle.
In a car like a miata you can correct you angle by braking normally or even a slight lift-up off of the gas, I have never driven a cappuccino so I cant say much about it, but I haven driven and drifted a stock miata which was actually a rental car for my mom. And I can honestly say it is absolutely awsome for drifting. For the few days we had the car I must have nearly shattered the pressure plate because it was too much fun to induce a drift by flooring the throttle and stomping on the clutch repeatedly hehe i could smell the clutch burning as i drove it lol so my vote goes to the car obviosly meant for a chick to drive due to it's cuteness
-the MX5 Miata
Man I love all those old Escorts and especially the 4wd Cossies. Wish they'd bring those cars back. My vote is gonna go to the S13 due to it's cheap availbility and wide variety of parts. It's the Japanese equivelent to the 5.0 imho.
Cosworth power is great, they helped power the Skyline concept. IDK who put the skyline as a drift car, but AWD, well than again if you have the skill, more power to you.
Dont forget the G35 is a RWD skyline, I dont know if its any good in a Drift, never seen it, but I like the 350Z's for a drift car. I think the G35 would be too heavy for drifting.
I would have to say the s2000 with hard top is the best drifter out there.... simply because that baby just loves to hang its arse end out....
A friend of mine drives one and when i first took it for a ride i was having trouble taking corners without drifting.
P.S. for all you cefiro lovers out there check this baby out
Originally posted by NismoSigma GT-R aint, i know old school skylines are rwd. doesnt the 1990 1 have rwd, i know the gtr32 aint but there was a base 1 that was not awd.
yea, but no one said GT-R, they said Skyline. there is the GTS, and the GTS-T fron what I know are the only FR Skylines out of the R32-R34 models.
and the new G35 is AWD now. the early models(like first year or w/e) were FR but it changed to AWD just a bit ago.
Look at his location - no they didn't sell them in the US.
That Cefiro is beautiful - those look like Silvia headlights and grille though.
It's very hard to chose just one, but my vote would be A70 because they take no money to make into a powerful drift machine. Add coilovers to a turbo model and you have yourself an awesome drift car. Plus, they are the underdog with their massive weight and they just look so awesome going sideways.
