      In Australia 4 & 5 point racing harnesses aren't streat legal UNLESS they are engineer approved... Simply because there is the chance that they weren't installed properly and could come undone in the event of a crash, but if they are engineer approved then you know the installation was done properly. This may be the same in the US... can anyone confirm or deny this for me?

        keep in mind that seats sit HELLA high in 240's so if you are tall at all then your gonna have some problems, for example my friend has a corbeau somethign or other in his 240 and my herad is hitting the roof when i drive it ( im about 6'3) . the only seats i have heard not having this problem is JIC seats and skyline gtr seats (r32) i believe, you can get bride low rails but they cost a grip. Also non reclinable are generally not that confortable for long drives.

          I've heard great things about Sparco Evos.

          One of these days, I'll scan up the entire SCC seat test. I'll be your hero.

            Oh, FIA homologation is recommended if you're going to be tracking the seat. (Heck, I'd recommend it anyways... it proves it can survive an extreme force load and kinda solidifies the seat's quality.) I included Bride seats because they have a rep for being so friggin' great.

            NH=Not homologated.

              if youre like me, and tuning on a budget is a very real thing, go for the skyline seats. finding them is one thing, but you will pay alot less for them then, say, a set of sparce torinos or some recaro seats (can get very pricy). i cant help u in finding them, though. im searching too.

                Reclinable seats are weak and often don't work well with harnesses.

                Skyline seats are nigh impossible to find.

                            really? i like the stock fc seats. im going with something aftermarket soon but i want something reclinable and something that you dont have to try so hard to stay in when your flinging your car around. I have a hookup in Greenbrook, NJ where I get all my s h i t wholesale.

                              Skyline seats kick!
                              they're relatively cheap depending where you get them....
                              Up Garage carries a lot of them and they can range from 200-300...
                              just look in the option magazines or check the Up Garage website!
                              i think a website called "Skyline Down Under" sometimes has someone selling some
                              and you should get some OMP harnesses because they're affordable

                                I'm in the same predicament(sp?). I'm a big guy that drives a FC too. I've been searching around a little bit and so far the Sparco Evo 2 is the best bet (they say on the Sparco website that it's made for bigger drivers). Either that or Kirkey Racing Fabrication makes racing seats that can be custom made to fit you. Just have to give them all the measurements and it's a little more expensive. I also heard the Kirkey racing seats aren't very comfortable either. www.ioportracing.com sells the Kirkey racing seats.
