I tried drift in an FB and it is really hard especially since it didn't have power steering but it is possible. Not easy at all.
dude, whatever. sa22's rule. later model gsl-se's came with a 13b and limited slip stock. my friend has one and it is an amzing little car. even ones with 12a's are nothing to laugh at. get an LSD in em and there just like your average underpowered drift car(ae86).
I found that drifting my 83 RX-7 was a bit hard, wanted to snowplow all the time. Taking off the rear swaybar helped alot. A LSD from an 84 or 85 gsl is what you need to drift the first gens. Basically with first gens, if it has rear disc brakes it has an LSD.
I have now retired my 83 from drifting. Just today I bought a running 85 AE86 GTS, for $100. This is my new drift toy
