Seeking Miss Drift

Those of you familiar with performace autos and racing probably know the name Scott Killeen; he's photographed vehicles and races for many of the major magazines. Team Killeen has some exciting new projects in the works for the drifting scene... but while Scott is in Illinois photographing Troy Trepanier's latest build, we're "stuck" with having to launch the search for a "Miss Drift" to appear at events around the country, with her own Drift Patrol of beautiful gals. She'll be riding in "Driftin' VIc", a Crown Victoria Police Vehicle that will be doing demonstration performances...<br><br.

If you know someone that would like to apply to compete to be the new "Miss Drift", please have her come to the Miss Drift web site at http://www.missdrift.com . <br><br>

We'll be looking forward to seeing and meeting all of you at events around the country.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOh its just a model ...Had me going for a second for something important. I think this should be clearer, that you're looking for a model to ride in a car, not a girl who can drift a car.

Um... yay? Somehow, I always knew this day would come. Some group out of the midwest doing shows around the country in American muscle. It was so inevitable.

Marlyn - Actually, someone to ride is fine... someone that actually COULD drive "Driftin' Vic' during the show would be even better! But you are correct; we'll try to add something to get that point across.

Texas 6 Gun - Should we add your name to the escort list? I believe you'd be something like 29,472,357 in line. I suppose though, that this means that you'd vote yes to bring the show to your town to promote the sport?

On the (more) serious side... we're thinking about having Miss Drift and "Driftin' Vic" join the "Power Tour" drive across country next year. This year 3000 cars signed up for the Dallas/Chicago run. Do you think that we might entice a few more drivers next time to "escort" her and promote the sport? Just a thought.

Monkey Fizz - The Crown Vic muscle is the marketing flash... it gets a lot of attention -- evading it by drifting circles around it with a Honda is the finesse... and the real sport!

By the way, Team Killeen is west coast based... I just happen to be in the midwest.

I would holla at the Drifting Pretty Girls, they are pioneers in the girl drifting scene here in the US... instead of some bandwagon hoppin' "driftin vic"...

But were really not about doing shows and what not, we help with Yokohamas D1 and HIN booth but we're not models, we're drivers.

Captain Killeen, I would LOVE to see a girl Drifter team, I think that would be awesome. Not only would it promote the sport but it would also promote womens sports. And I love women in sports. Any girl that can outdrive me is the girl that I want to marry. So you just let me know if you might be headed this way and I will help you out however I can. I also think that it is time that a Domestic presence other than the Viper's of Doom is needed in the Drifting scene. But remember, if you gonna come, come correct. make the drivers worth seeing, not just the girls.

Plus, you can bump me right to the top of that 297,003,349 list, seeing as how i'm so cuddly soft.

drifting for girls in australia is slowly growing... more and more girls are becoming interested and going out there to show alot of the guys up.
