i like superstreet they make good cover on some cars and sometimes they make me laugh...in the other hand i like sport compact car couse they make it in a more professional point of view... the only think that i dont like its when they just cover stuff not cars...they should cover more events like the one that they cover in mobara D circuit...both magazines are well done because of that i buy em...
Originally posted by Ripper that's not true. they feature cars from japan too. ilike superstreet becuase it's funny. and i guess the event thing can be said too
I read Modified Mag for that... That "rag" doesn't call themselves rags and they don't act like monkies...
Some issues of SuperStreet suck and some are good. The people that say its rice must have never really checked out a few issues. Well you're right some issues do suck but they also have alot of good issues. Thats why you read them in the store before you buy them. Durrrrrrrr. lol

i have 1 issue of super street and it is udderly retarded. The spine of the magazine is on the right so its awkward to hold, there were no interesting articles (like SCC tech or project cars) they have a retarded supra called "sup-dog" (where all they did was widen the rear wheel wells to put huge dope rims.) When they do cover a car the sidebar has sloppy (and not "funny like they try to be, just shows a lack of intelegence) categories as "under the hood" compared to scc's "internal engine modifications/ external engine modifications" Oh ya and in the issue they had a wheel guide with 90% ricer rims, only 3-4 decent rims in there, and a nasty *Censored**Censored**Censored* model.
edit- *Censored**Censored**Censored* for "a55" lol

*shrug* to each his own.... =T .... ricer lol I'm so tired of that word (not making fun...) just everybody uses it now.... =p
hahaha scc isn't all that it's cracked up to be either... I know of a shop that the scc editors had to take one of their cars to cuz they blew it up doing something dumb.... but yeah I agree they are more technical but that's what sport compact car is about....
I couldn't really care, they feed my need for cars other than my own so I can get a taste of what everyone else in the community is doing (in all, drag, drift, rice, classic, etc.) it just makes for a good amount of information that you can enjoy. Other magazines are boring, maybe thats why super street has appealed to me more over the years. The only thing ever good coming from SportCompactCar is the ultimate car challenge or whatever. But half of the people that sign up for that (half, not entirely) drive cars that are clearly unsuitable for the challenege. So you don't really get a very wide selection of cars to choose from when voting. Not really familiar with Modified Mag, and other than that I usually try to buy the european auto magazine named CAR, kind of like Motortrend or others that review/preview/just in general talk about cars. That is a good magazine, but it doesn't really have anything about THIS community, none the less, it is a good magazine. So the only other place to turn would be a japanese magazine and try to figure out what exactly they were trying to say (not fluent in japanese) or buy super street. Considering that it is the only magazine that actually takes the time to talk about the drifting community (something other than D1 in usa). The comical side of the magazine is alright, it adds up for a good reading excperience and it entertains me when I am in a light mood and could have something to read other than just car specs. Some of the jokes arn't really funny, but the majority are, and thats a good thing, at least it isn't like SCC where nothing is funny basically and they are very GET TO THE POINT. Not putting it down at all, just keeping my faith.

Wow i hope you dont think negetive about everything like that. First of all the spine in that mag was meant to be like that. Supposeably it was the jdm issue. Secondly that Sup-Dog had a *Censored**Censored**Censored* name but that supra did have more than wide fenders. It almost had 1000 HP. And lastly that was a bad overall issue. Thats like saying drifting is bad cause you see a Front wheel drive car attempt it. So ahhh STFU. But yeah overall it is a bad mag with a few good issues once in a while. As i said again read it before you buy it.
I bought it and I saw the cover, some ugly *Censored**Censored**Censored* scion chode truck with some playmate on it. it was all ricey and it smelled and tasted like it to. None the less i went by the notion of "dont judge a book by its cover" so i dished out $5.01 for it. To my suprise, it was ok. I expected it to be a rice-fest but there are some nice articles like the 1 about the drift team Slip Stream. it was ok. i wouldve hoped it was more pics and less rambling about how they got to a certain location or about "nads man tits".
