  • I think he's just pissed cause he sucks at life.

    Comment

    • Right then. How exactly does one go about "sucking at life" if I may ask? Simply becuase I have opinions that differ from your own, and I am vocal about them? I don't agree with John Kerry, but do I think he sucks at life? No. I don't know him personally, and he has done extrodinarily well when it comes to "making a living". Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying I'm some mogul or tycoon, but I hardly think I suck at life. Perhaps you mean I am a loser... wasting my time going on about things no one wants to hear. You're right, but that doesn't mean they don't need to be said. I say drifting as we know it will die. You don't seem to think so. I have watched public interest in many things wane, and with my experience in various types of marketing (something you'd know nothing of, since you don't know a thing about me), what you say doesn't have the prominence of my opinions on this matter. If a doctor (an expert in a field) told you that you were going to die, would you say "You're just saying that because you're pissed and you suck at life."? No. You would prepare yourself. Which is exactly what you need to do in this case. The BTTS drifting will never die, but D1 is already growing weary. Just wait and see.

      • See, what I said was a joke. Since you can't take a joke, you must suck at life (another joke).

Anyways, I really hope you don't take me too seriously, I like to get along with everyone. Here's my personal opinion: the drifting "fad" may disperse, but there are people out there like myself who just love the sport, and we'll do it with or without the media's support. Don't say I know nothing about you, or marketing/advertising, after all, you don't know me either. I didn't try to be insulting, seriously, I was just joking. It's something I do with everyone. I tell the best drifter in Vegas that he sucks all the time, and we go back and forth like we mean it, but we don't. I know text is usually taken too literally because you can't hear joking tones in written words, so I apologize for that much. As for D1, I don't care if it dies or thrives. As long as it's around, I'll keep going and watching, or participating if I make it through the Drivers Search events. Besides, even doctors are wrong sometimes. I guess since you're in advertising though, you must know that D1 is going to die... after all, it only had the stands packed at both events and sold out. They must have terrible advertising.

For the record: John Kerry sucks at life (money does not = life), and I really really hope he doesn't become my boss.

        • John Kerry has not a hope nor a prayer, I am happy to say, for I have personally contracted my good friend "Mr. 47" to take care of him. lol. But seriously. He's way behind, people hate him, and no one likes him. They only claim to out of hatred for my man Dubya.

          • Lets bring this back to point.

first, it only makes sense that you, (280zx) is a bush fan. I guess ignorant jackasses think alike right?

Alex Phfeiffer has been drifting for the better part of 10 years or more. Let's say for instance drifting does go away, out of the limelight. Guess what? He'll still be drifting. If you believe most of the drivers (at least the california ones, as they are the only ones I know personally) only showed up in recent years, you're more ignorant than the gun brandishing redneck that is our president by default. Most of these guys could care less if they are in the limelight, and will be around regardless if the motorsport itself is considered a highly profitable commodity. These guys are in it because they are comitted. Real drifting isn't sponsorships, or who has the most JDM products on their cars. Its the friendships that are created, the experiences shared together (bad and good) and the excitement of driving.

If you are a true motorsports fan, you would understand this. Regardless if your cup of tea is NASCAR, NHRA, WRC, or IRL, there is a common bond in staying up till the wee hours of the morning, preparing your car, then driving the next day "till the wheels fall off". The same thing can be said for the whole domestic vs import thing. In reality? If you're a true auto fanatic, it doesn't matter where the car is from. If its been wrenched on with passion and intent, that's all that should matter. Respect it.

That being said, the only thing I can deduct from your posts is that your hate for our great motorsport can only come from 1) jealousy or 2) prejudice.

Obviously it shouldn't give you a rash to know that drifting is popular now, and fun. Let it go. If you're upset that irwindale's record attendence was set by a primarily youth, import, and japanese crowd, get over it. if you want your motorsport to set those kind of record attendeces, do something about it.

In the same sense that most homophobic individuals fear that they themselves are *Censored**Censored**Censored*, then perhaps you're just a drifter wannabe in denial.

How many drift events have you attended? how many have you driven in?

Ahem. I am far from being an ignorant jack-*Censored**Censored**Censored*. In fact, I'm the guy who protects you while you sleep. But... whatever. You must know everything, right?

Way to spell Alex Pfeiffer's name wrong after insulting a million people for being ignorant jack-asses.

                • HEY!!! What is the name of this thread? Is it 280 and Politics? No, then shut up about it here. This is a thread to ask Alex Pfeiffer something. Why are you dumb balls venting your political crap in here? Alex devotes some time here to actually give you info from the inside of the professional American Drifting world and you guys roll up some Political bad grass and blow smoke all through the thread. If you want to talk about that, go somewhere else. Don't be thread jacking a thread that actually has some potential to do good on the site.

Man, no wonder people are complaining that the site is going downhill. Time to break out the whip again and start putting some of you to the winds.

                  • Thank you guys for trying to keep this post in check. Ive been watching it for the last couple days just to see how far off track it would go and even if it was worth responding to.

Anyways to answer the orginal question by 280zxfactor, If you read the "where did battleversion come from" then you would know that drifting isnt the end all of what i do. I would really like to get back into racing and hopefully drifting can get me some sponcers or at least something to get me back to racing again.

I do have a question for you now, 280zxfactor,
When it comes to drifting, I can pull a pretty good drift, but I personally see no point to doing so.
If you dont like to drift, then why are you here? You really dont need to answer that but just ask yourself that.

Its kinda like doing a fat chick, it can be alot of fun but you dont want your friends to know. I can admit that drifting is alot more fun then racing, too me all drifting did was loose some weight. She still has that ugly face but a good but t to ride. Think she is getting some plastic surgery soon.

                      • Talking about fat chicks, i have a great story about chicago.

We get there, have dinner and get to the hotel. The japanese guys are on there way out to find a place to drink. We head upstairs and take a shower. One of the guys does a search for strip clubs in the area, and also find out there are a couple casino's. This is in a little town called Juliet. Everyone admits they rather look at tits then loose money at the casino so we all get together and head out with the japanese guys. We find this small place called the cellar and its off by itself. I bravely walk downstairs to find out the deals. There is a small window with a bouncer,

                        Me: how much is it?
                        Him: $5 each
                        ME: Is it full nude
Him: no, they have paisties and panties on but they take it off for the lap dances
ME: how much for lap dances
                        Him: $10 for 2 songs
ME: I've got about 8 people, Any deals?
Him: No, we have 5 girls working and one is a real hottie.
Me: Ok, (as i stop for a second) let me find out.

So i go outside and im like, no way should we go in there. They ask the japanese guys and orido is like "I want a drink, lets check it out" or thats what i kinda got out of the translation.

So we pay the entrance, walk in, see this thing dancing, and i mean thing. It wasnt a woman by any means. We get a drink. Then 2, and i had to take a shot. The next thing goes on, so funny cause there was no mic, the bartender would just yell out for the next girl. The aveage weight of these things was about 200lbs. So now we have to see what the "hottie" looked like. Getting kinda scary as a couple of them start comeing over to try and talk to us. One chick asks me,

                        Her: Wears yoall from?
                        Me: chicago
                        Her: what part?
                        Me: West side
Her What part of the west side?
Me: (out of excuses but luckly her name was called to go on stage)
                        Her: You got a dollar?

She gets a dollar from one of the guys, and as she walks away says, "you better come up with some better lies", then we figure out that she needed that dollar to put in the gute box so she had a song to dance to. We got a real kick out of that one.

Anyway the hottie goes on, she is like 40 years old and looks like a crack whore with sagging fake titties. We had enough and pounded our drinks and headed over to the casino.

Alex, lets be ga.y together. Actually, lets be ga.y after you give me an Alignment. None of my camber is the same. and I shudder to think about toe.

                            • Haha, right on. Next time you are in Atlanta, let's go out. I'll take you to the best, nastiest place in the ATL. The Clairmont Lounge. It was actually on the 10 things to do list of Atlanta Magazine right up there with the Atlanta Zoo. It's where all the old strippers go to die. They have 1 legged ones there, fat ones, old ones and then there is Blondie. She is like 50 years old, black with dyed blonde hair and she will slap you with the bazooms. She crushes cans with em and if she really likes you, she will read you poetry. This chick rules. She got hit by a city bus and was dancing there the next night with a broken arm and leg. Woot.

It has also gathered cult status and lots of hit chicks go there to dance. Best of both worlds.
