is the 180sx legal here in north america?

        not true

        the car can be legal if you do the DOT and EPA stuff.. plus no crash testin because its the same frame as the USDM 240sx

            but you dont see many 180sxs' do you? its because its a pain in the a$$ to go through the DOT and other legalization *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* plus you have to pay for shipping

                s14's look like s14's..they were all coupes.

                the S13 chassis (240sx) came in the hatchback and the coupe version. the 240sx hatchback 89-93 looks like a 180sx.

                240sx came in coupe and hatchback. The coupe had the 180sx pop up lights, but the Silvia S13 tail lights...that is what we people in japan call a Onevia.

                the 240sx hatchback looks like a 180sx, except never came with Kouki tail lights.

                do some research and you'll become more knowledgable

                    ok just buy a 240 fastback, get the 180sx middle piece for the taillights, both the back side glass windows that say 180sx, Get an SR and switch it to RHD..Then you have a 180 pretty muchly. Not worth the time, Although I suggest going back to wanting a civic for you..

                      haha u americans suck, in aus u can BUY s15's, s14's and s13's and 180's with sr20's in em, and its all legal, import or from your local nissan dealer w00t

                          yup same as over here in japan...these guys are paying 6,7,8k for an s14 witha truck engine. lol. its all good tho make do with u got...
                          btw...in aus s13 s14 s15's are all waaayyy over priced. on the the one forum they were talking about what car would u buy if u had 17k...and most everyone said an s14. 17k for a S14 silvia!!!i coud buy 5 s14 silvias for 17k..with DET's. they are never over 3500 here. maybe a really hooked up one will go for 5k but thats the most.

                            so i should get a 240sx[89-93 model?i seen some peeps selling some],and just mod everything from there right?

                              not anymore, the dot no longer considers right hand drive as substantially similar, so crash testing is required.

                              german cars are still easy to legalize though, thanks to them being left hand drive as well.
