remember, if you're gonna tune up the CA18DE/t aftermarket parts are very hard to find here in the states

Who cares? The only reason I can see that an American wants a RHD car is if they lived in Japan for an extended period of time, found one already here for a ridiculously low price (like I did) or they want to show off.

I can't understand why in the world anyone would pay all that money to get a RHD Drift car. Sounds pretty stupid to me since you are probably going to wreck it. Get smart and put that money into something that you won't waste first time you put it over a curb.

Sometimes people really confound me. If you want a RHD for something other than Drifting, talk about it on a show car forum.

........... that post was a joke right? ummmm im not gonna flame but ..... sigh..... the 180sx is not legal. Unless you get it legalized by someone and I dont know any that is doing it. If you do want something JDM like, why dont you just by a 240, drop the ca18 or the sr20, get a tail light conversion and your done. You have your own 180sx, its your chance to play god! Oh and if you want more information on ur rice-capade go to www.240sxforums.com theyre great. They really know theyre 240's there. (PS Any sort of engine swap other than the same type engine that the car was sold with is illegal in the U.S. So either way your in a hole when it comes to the a swap)

It is sad that the the s15 went that way. In japan the spo-com scene is even more ricer than america. It sucks too cause when the car guys that arnt into rice want to look for guidance, they look to japan because we think they are hardcore car guys that wouldnt even think of rice on the road, but now with the F&F franchise just bombarding japan, its gonna be all confusing. Damn it sucks. Almost brings a tear to my eye, almost.

And a hardtop JZA80 Supra TT is very rare in america. Most TT in america were targa top. Plus both cars are RHD which is soo much cooler. I prefer driving on the right side anyways to be honest
You can shove it up the ying yang with your "cool JDM RHD S14 and Supra." None of us care...

I still want an explanation for the bit about 180sxs being 'cheaper' then a 240sx fastback. 240 fastbacks dont cost *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored*.

Yes of course...I don't have anything new to say, but a 240 fb w/ a SR20 would do you good...Under the right conditions and location, you can get a 240 w/ an SR for no more than I'd say 3500...But I live in SoCal. Thats just my estimate...Have a nice day...

............ whats up with people wanting to import cars over such as the 180..? seriously whats so special about it? is it because the steering wheel is on the right side? does the person really want to be "jdm" about it? is there some sort of special advantage when it comes to drifting in a RHD car? if you're so content in getting a RHD car why don't you just convert it eh? its almost "jdm" haha
just buy a fastback throw in the SR convert it to RHD and you're set plus get the center piece for the trunk and the tail-lights...
to me if you convert the car its a waste...but what the hell its your money!

The pluses of the RHD models are usually better body condition, less km's,a better engine, better clearence for parts, less exposed lines, better options for the cars, and the ability to drift on your door in much greater control than a LHD.In the US it is not possible, but in Canada,3-5K will get you a 180sx in great condition.

It's also very similiar in Australia regarding the import of cars from Japan.
