well i have seen some crazy engine combos in the 914 namely the sb chevy and 5.0l ford. however the 1.6L vw bug motor will fit fine same kinda deal gotta ask my pops hes the german car guy in the family. the vw motor will tear royal klingon *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* monkey a$$ 300 hp in that light a car and you will have a hellof a time keeping it straight

One of the coolest 911s ive driven was a early car (72 I think) that had a 3.6 twin plug swaped in it (964 89-94 911). The car was completly gutted it had lexan windows and mostly fiberglass body parts. It was more fun than some twin turbos. A 911 is probably the last car I would try to drift thought.

I think I saw a feature in Modified magazine about a 911 with a 4G63 out of an eclipse. The car was old enough to not have to worry about combining electronics.

one option you may think about is a subaru flat 4, if you can find a spot for the radiator
