    Clutch type 2 way LSD
and some used tires and your SET YO!

i've read, and heard in interviews what pro's reccomend novice drifters to get first. We have a tendency to say, suspension tuning first, but every pro i have ever heard form said LSD first, since it's the backbone of drifting, Drifting on a open def. is like drifting a FF, it can only get so good. Get your rear end locked up and a few extra set of tires and you can go all day

Immamura Yoichi said "You can drift on un-tuned footwork, but a LSD is absolutely neccesary for drifting..."

but a 2way clutch type LSD would be ALOT better than a VLSD...

but if ur content on the VLSD...i would say tein lowering springs, and some nice shocks...and some used tires...hehe...or u can find a killed fc3s tII and rip out the turbo components and do that, it's up to you, your car, your parts....if u really feel like doing something to your car with the grand...think it over, and then do what u feel will be better for you in the FUTURE...hehe...so yeah, don't let my, or anybody else's, opinions sway u in your decision making....have fun with it, it's your car. If u wanna throw a 4 foot wing on there...hell do it....as long as u get her sideways...it's all up to you bro

2 way: Meaning that it locks on both accleration and deceleration.

1.5 way: Meaning types of LSD that provide 50% LSD action on decel. and full locking on accel...

Get some a nice suspension kit (unless you already got 1) OR INVEST IT! Let your 1000 become 10,000 or 100,000, just as long as something like enron dont happen your ok!

that' is a very very large amout of birthday presnet. but i wouldn't use 1 ground just to mod a car. that's not enough for me, imo. i'd probably buy some clothes or tv. maybe use it to build a new computer

because they know nothing about it . stick to your stock diff, Torsen's are hard to wear out and you can better spend that 1K with your car.
