NH has no smog or emission laws of any kind, it is really great! You can do anything you want to a car and as long as it isn't overly loud they don't care.

lol yes. that and 93 octane. The police generally worry more about crap happening in town then on the zillions of miles of really quiet back roads.

Florida isn't completely terrible. I'm in rockledge and the cops are INSANE. you can mostly find a cop on just about any street at any given time, but they honestly don't care much about modifications.

I know a guy running an red top'd 240 hatch. Custom piping all the way back to a frigging loud can, no cat or anything. The thing SCREAMS just at regular driving levels and he's encountered cops everywhere as we all have, but no one cared to pull him over, even though he's easily over the 95 db level.

cops here are just crazy about speeders. Rockledge is a little old town, not much. walmart is the local hot spot. yet, instead of "fighting crime" there's like a cop at every light with a radar gun, since there needs to be, seeing as it's such a huge high traffic city where so many accidents happen. It's frigging obnoxious.

your exhaust has to be solid and apear to be in good working ordre. That means you need a cat.

That doesn't mean you need anything IN that cat.

here in CO the cops are pretty lienient on mods. we got busted drifting in a lot one time and they just kinda looked at liscense and registration and then let us go home w/o really doing anything...we all thought we were screwed though cause this friend of mine had an sr20 with a few mods (one beig the apex'i n1 exhsut, which was loud as crap) and his hood was up when the cops rolled in. the cop looked at it, then shrugged his shoulders and asked us what we were doing. so we told him we were getting some practice in for drift showoff and having some just hanging out and stuff. so he let us go. my car has no cat, and an hks sports muffler on it, and i have never been pulled over for noise levels or anything of that sort

It's all in who you talk to. Going by the book you should have failed, but whatever.

by the book not too many cars up here would pass, but if you go to your local rural inspection place they don't care, as long as the car passes a basic visual they will sticker it.

That's what it's like where I live. They pay more attention to you if you've got mods but unless you're speeding they pretty much leave you alone. Hafta be on the lookout for photoradar though. They go crazy with that thing here. **Edit: No emmission checkups needed here either.

in vancouver, canada, they have been busting street racers and speeders hard. they took away photo radar but the cops just hide behind fences, they only take the guys speeding infront of the pack. In richmond you need a sticker or something to show that you have legal mods (i think), but the highways are not that bad. lots of areas in canada that the cops don't really go, just have to drive a bit to get there. as for engines, it doesn't matter and i don't think that most cops can tell the difference, most of them are too busy with road blocks or finding grow ops.

Is this spot in cali? If it is in S cal I think i know what you're talking about
