ok people...it's like this...180sx was made through 99....just because the valve cover is red meens nothing...look at the head..see the lines on it. like 20 or 30 of them...that meens it's a blacktop sr20det....

and here is one with no lines it is a red top,.

PS... what's that red indicator light on the rear quarter panel? Haven't seen any 180's over here with that.

It's a US spec 240SX with 180 tail lights.

That would be correct. And there are TWO versions ov the blacktop. The later ones had a completely different shape. The earlier one was vertually the same as the redtop anyway. No significant differences at all.

The picture is real...but touched up with some photo-shop software. I have seen MANY guys open the door and hang out on a corner without helmets. We go to a track routinely that doesn't require helmets.

It is a nice picture but I just get a kick out of all the internet chick humpers getting all steamy over this gal. Sure she is attractive....but there are gazillions of attractive girls. Big freaking deal. Time to get a life boys.

I'm not hating, I was pointing out someones mistake, why should we give props for having someone build a car for her??? I mean it was tastefully done and it's a nice car, and thats awesome that a girl is into 240's, but I my props to the people who put in the work..now you can get on with your life.

Just because they had cooling fins on the front of the head doesn't make them a black top, do YOUR research, late model red tops also had cooling fins on the front of the head.

they had them in 98, built in late 97, but sold as 98's.

Unless AEM knows something Nissan JP dosen't, according to the JP Nissan FAST system we use, the last batch of 180sx's were made from 10/97 to 12/98. These cars may have been registered later, but the last factory production 180SX was in 1998.

Anyways, in my experience only internet tuners seem to care about Red tops and Black tops recently. Either one is a big step forward over the delivery-van engine that came in 240sx's

There have been countles threads of people arguing about who has more knowledge about a 240sx (180 or S13, SR20, or whatever). Whats the big deal? Who cares what engine or what year or whatever. Its a hot car, hot pic, and props to someone that has accomplished some hot stuff. B4 you start talking Sh!t you should ask yourself whats so hot in your life that you think ur better.
