  • Just me and my coupe *video*

Doin some crazy sh*t in an open parking lot. Was good for a
first time experience doing stuff like this. Will definately do some
more and better 'acts' next time.

    Now on to the vid:

Click to stream play it, or right-click and Save As (6MB):

    A few things, yes, that's a Flowmaster 40 muffler on there (2.5").
I understeered like a whore. And I used eBrake on most turns
to kick the rear out more.

    Enjoy...

yes, that was pretty good for first time. i suggest ample doses of practice and some stiffer springs/shocks.

try putting in more gas after you pull the ebrake and counter steer if you start to spin out. it will look alot better cus in the vid after you pulled the ebrake you kina stopped. but yea looked pretty good

Bone stock everything except: K&N and CP front/rear strut bars.

And yea, after I saw the video myself, I was like sh*t, I should
have kept going. I'm still practicin.

nice dude! good start. the only thing that i would tell you is to not rely on the hand brake so much, use feint and weight transfer and learn that way. mostly its just practice. GOOD JOB!

I won't rely on the eBrake for actual drifts. I think it requires more
co-ordination (there's so much going on that you kinda forget
            to drop the eBrake)...LOL

But yea, like I said, this was a tight space so I wasn't really doing
any special drift techniques. Just messin around with 90/180/360 spins.

E-Brake in a small lot is not too much fun, just learn how to engage your clutch properly to create some tire spin, add light throttle, and settering inputs and you can do continous slides until your tires give out. There is a rythem you get into, once you find that its on!!!! A parking lot is fun cause it allows you to have some room for error and you learn how different inputs make your car move. I still so every other night to the old K-mart parking lot and have fun, till the police show. LOL

You had one or two decent slides. Not bad for your first time.

I'm telling you, I was playing with the ebrake, that's why.

Next time I won't use the ebrake and I guess that'll prove
what I can really do (or not do).

The ebarake is good just not all the time. And you should try going faster. Speed will help you deal with the open diff just remember to stay on it when you straighten out so your car won't snap back at you.

If you know you're gonna understeer badly the ebrake can save your a$$ sometimes. Nice vid though for the first time. have fun out there.

                        ^^^ Open diff? It's a Canadian 240. It's got VLSD.

Only 89-90 in Canada came with open diff, the rest had LSD/VLSD.

                        I'm sure you knew that.

no offence, but you should not be aloud to own a silvia.

well then you should know its a 240 and not a silvia right?

I didnt; think they all had LSD. I picked up a 91 parts car for my 510 (doner engine) and it had an open diff.
