    and finally this.

These road photo's show nothing of the 180 hairpins, switchbacks and changeovers. The Dragon is a dangerous place. Throw in the motorcycles, car's that can't stay in their lanes and the hunters, campers and travellers, not to mention the locqal wildlife, and you got one hell of a ride. This is a great time of year to pay a visit to it. It is one you will not forget.

                      Ah the Dragon...memories.

I can't decide which vehicle I like better at Deal's Gap

My motorcycle is faster, but a lot more physically demanding and much easier to drift.

My car feels safer and is doesn't need to be trailered to get there.

I can't wait to get back to the Dragon this year. I'll be practicing at Tuggle's Gap this spring to get out the winter cobwebs. I was up at Tuggles Gap several weeks ago in my car doing about 80mph down a short straight away and swerved to miss a fox. 4 fishtails later I was sideways in somebody's driveway with a bent tierod and a broken bumper. Still hit the fox. Stupid wildlife.

Nah Sobe, i'm in Knoxville but I got a cabin 2 miles above Tallulah gorge. That's where they filmed Deliverance . It makes a great staging point for mountain runs and maybe a good place for us to have a picnic in the spring. I got bout 4 acres of riverfront with my dad. Big screen, bar-b-cue pits and swimming or fishing. It's awesome. The roads a little so so to get there but it's only 50 yards long and my FD made it down and up and it is slammed.

Drift 16, you must not live around here but the Dragon is like the THE most worked over spot iin the southeast. EVERYONE already know's that spot. That is why it is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo dangerous to drift there or even run there. I think it would be nigh impossible to drift there except in a few turns. It's just that tight. Plus there are changeovers up there what will compress your suspension to the point of bottoming out and while in a turn too. For bikes it is great, for car's it get's alot trickier. Add to that the bikes that fly up and down there, the traveller's, the cops (next to none this time a year) but they are hell bent for leather up there in the sumer months and you get one W I L D ride man. The Dragon can be something out of a dream or something straight out of a nightmare. Can go either way. It's so popular that clubs hold track day's there and it's advertised in the paper for gods sake.

Do the car clubs just run the road, like, just drive down it. or do they like drift it or what?
