let me just say again you shouldn't say something if you don't know what you are talking about. All compnaies that you mention were established the same time or after TEIN except for Tanabe which was a few years earlier. I can tell you that i know of 9 cars off the top of my head being the 9 team falken drift cars that have TEIN suspension and many stickers on the cars none of which cost TEIN any money to have them placed on the cars. I guess there are if ans or buts about it. As I stated before TEIN is a publicly held company and you can look up all records about the company. if you want your info do a little research so you don't put your foot in your mouth anymore.

i forgot to mention that the technology that TEIN has exceeds that of the other companies you state. the twin tube desing that goes into the basic, super street, and Flex along with others is a technology that only other companies like KYB(an oem supplier) would have. it is true that for racing, simpler is better but also easier. meaning that any cracker jack company can produce a monotube damper. and by just changing the shims in the damper will make them stiffer or softer.

alittle info on the background of TEIN the president and vice president are WRC champions that raced on their own suspension (some of the first they ever developed) while racing in a factory backed toyota vehicle. Which means Toyota could have purchased any suspension for the race car.

Dont know how I have put my foot in my mouth,I said I was incorrect. I moved on. Continuing to bring up the fact I made a mistake with what information I had , kinda a weak point dont you think ? If you want to make your self feel high and might go for something else.

I still think tein is not the best for the money. No matter how much you boast about the company , no matter how much information you produce. I simple put do not like tein. I dont even like JIC anymore, honestly they have dropped in quality over the years. Cusco is still my fav suspension, yes its more than tein , or JIC, but it is much better quality and much longer lasting.

You listed pro-drift cars that run tein, yet you said wrc and other sanctioned racing events, that there where people that run them with out any stickering...like to see those as well. Show me the drift cars that run tein that dont have a single tein sticker on them. You will find a sticker on the car somewhere that says tein.

So far, you have stated that, the design is different than companies like KYB , that its the most popular company in Japan, and its publicly traded. All of wich , my previous post I said i didnt doubt. That means I agree with you , shocking isnt it?

You have yet to bring up the problems with rust ppl have had, the weaker arms that they have made for suspension components either. Or how stock suspension parts work better than some of teins components.

There are several shops in the NW that refuse to carry tein due to its lack of quality production, I even know of shops in Hong Kong that wont sell it due to its poor quality. So granted I may not know the stocks and bonds of the company, but I do have personaly experience with the company. From my experience I do not want to deal with the company, or its products simple as that. Just because an item sells alot does not mean it is good quality, quality over quantity.

You can continue to come back with " putting my foot in my mouth" or how the owners where WRC champions...or anything else you can think of. Its not going to change the fact that tein is a trendy company and in my mind ...well basically...crap. No matter what you say or do will change that , you should accept that and move on.

Everyone has thier own preferance to a part for thier cars, my preferance is not let anything tein ever go on my car, its as simple as that. Now drop it and move on, I am as stubborn as they come. I have made my mind I dont like tein, so I dont, and no matter what you spout at me my mind will not change.

            Cheers!!

This thread was made to support a fellow drifter, not to flame on his suspension set up which I see no problem in. If you got money go buy something expensive that does the same job as the "poor" one. Nice job on your car again and stick to what your doing.

the car is nice, but the bumper i would say is kinda aggressive. walking by i might cross the street for fear it might jump at me lol.

but ya cars looking good now some action shots.

can i also point out that the reason why most real race-spec coilovers run aluminium bodies is because 1. unsprung weight. 2. they are rebuilt or replaced extremely frequently. 3. for the daily consumder that does not tend to do number 2, steel bodies are more rigid and are less prone to "damper bulge" than the likes of aluminium - which obviously results in the damper requiring replacement <--NOT a problem in race/sanctioned vehicles due to their budget being significantly more than the avg. joe driver.

steel is better for daily driver/consumer apps.

and that right there is why im not holding out for aluminum suspension

Ask drift alliance if tein sucks regardless of what you have HEARD from other people. IF you wanna compare quaility KEI's OFFICE beotch!!!!
