the biggest problem I cant think of is that the car is still so new and fresh to him. Hell it took me almost a year to finnaly tune my car to slide right. O_o Although thats with just me myself and I working on the car to figure it out. To many adjustible parts haha...but considering hes a pro racer and has a team behind him. He'll probably have the car tuned right when the time comes.

that whole, "yeah but he did better then you!" arguement, really doesnt fly when were talking pro level drifting. I mean yeah he did better then i could of. but he wasnt competiting against me, he was competting against the pros.
but i still think he did good considering how new the car was, but like someone said earlier, it just wasnt fun to watch. Once he commited to an angle or a turn he was stuck. Probably why he seemed so cautious when he ran side by side.
Anyways im no expert.

Car design aside......
at some point in your life you'll realize that its important for Americans to be a part of a sport they are funding.
Back to car design: I too hope that better designs will come from US plants. I will be the first to buy when they do So maybe competition at D1 will lead to sum 'out of the ordinary thinking' for US car makers....

Yeah looks like he wasnt hittin it up very well. Need more throttle!! hehe!! But hey if they just finished tuning the car the day of the race, then I say he did OK. Even having drifted before, when I stepped into a new car with a different tune I wasnt exactly hittn it up very well the first time myself. Not making any excuses or anything here, but give him some more time and I'm sure he'll be competitive.

Sucked compared to the Japanese drifters? He did as well or better than all but eight of them.
Pretty damn good for a car that, as he put it, was only at 80%, and which he'd only gotten the evening before.Last edited by Shin_Kudou; 03-01-2004, 12:20 AM.
