more pics:
http://www.ourcoolphotos.com/2009d1qualifying and http://www.ourcoolphotos.com/p1027103595
looks like a super professional setup
some updates:
Forrest is the top US guy... buncha FL locals are still in it including Esteban Falero, Jason Jiovanni, Bill Sherman, and some others. Chelsea Denofa, Aaron Losey, Quoc Ly, Will Parsons, and Russell Walker also qualified, and of course the J guys are still doing good - saito, nomura, ueno, tanaka, etc...
Seems like there's been some torrential downpours all weekend, and there's a huge puddle right at the initiation point. I think this will favor the J drivers who are used to the rain, but the FL drivers might do well too.Last edited by YOitzJDM; 05-30-2009, 01:09 PM.

[30-05, 17:04] SFLDrifters.com 1. Saito 2. Nomuken 3. Hokkanen
all 3 are drivers that were flown in by D1GP... anyone else feel that this isn't really fair?
it's kinda like the circus... it travels around to different towns, but it's always the same act of characters.

Heard of the Harlem Globetrotters? They should just change the name of D1 to the "Japanese Globetrotters, The Traveling Drift Show." lol
Did Nomuken throw a bucket of confetti at Saito?Last edited by OldSkool510; 05-30-2009, 04:36 PM.

On behalf of the whole Finnish drifting community I'd like to pass my congratulations to Harri Hokkanen for his unbelievable 3rd place finish and Janne Leinonen for an awesome top 16 result.

people need to relax, the miami event was a lot of fun, and the best driver there won, period. thanks to d1gp for bringing over the j-drivers and letting us have a go at them, that is amazing, and i had a blast driving with siato!!! d1 is paying for all of the japanese guys, does that make them biased? no, it makes them awesome for bringing them over for us.
