Looks like it was an honest accident. Eddie at Hankook was complaining that JR interntionally caused the accident

It was an accident, but then again the Judges ruled in favor of Eric so the person at fault was official decided, although i heard from the Hankook camp that Eddie at Dynamic had already talked to JR and everythings cool between everyone. Its always a bummer to see your car get hit, especially Sonoma is a mere 2 weeks away from the Seattle Event so you can't really blame someone for being upset, makes it real tough to prep a car after an accident of that magnitude.

Eric initiated, JR was too close and too committed to make any corrections, and the rest is history. It's unfortunate, but it's part of racing.
