It's using electroluminescent decals, same type of decals ALMS and LMS cars use to light up their number boards on their cars at night. This is the first time I've seen it in colors other than white and blue.

So, which Formula Drift driver is going to take the plunge to try some?

The company that originally did this was ELLighting, but seem to be now known as Top Right Optoelectronics. They do more than just decals, but safety vests, billboards, and a lot more stuff. This is pretty cool.

Rhys Millen did that back in 2007 on his Solstice. The hood had an electroluminescent Pontiac logo.

It was done in ALMS and other series long before.

Oh, I didn't know that. I'll see if I can't do some digging and find his.

            EDIT:
On the site I found the link, it was hyped that this was new. Maybe they meant the animated part of it? Was his animated or just lit up?

Those are awesome looking. The bottom one is also on the TRO's website and probably cost a bloody fortune to get made.

Well Humphry Davy invented it first aka the light bulb and NOT Thomas Edison, hahaha
Humphry did it before Le Mans bro... haha
