The probe and the mx6 share the kz....something something something (used to know it) 6 cyl ingine. That came in the probe gt and is often swapped into others, the probe also came with a 4 cyl. The Escape is also a rebadged mazda which Ford had little-to-no part in conceiving.

Supposedly the RS200 had alot of problems and I'd rather have an Escort Cosworth. I think hte 4 cyl probe engin eis the sam as the miata engine. Either that or I have seen a Miata engine swp into a probe.

I think you've seen a swap. The factory probe 4cyl isn't the b6 I don't think. That would be a good thing though. Oh and I remembered the engine code. KLZE...I think...

the rs200's problems were along the lines of the other group B cars.
they killed the drivers.

they were FAR to fast for what people used them for.

The probe engine is not a miata engine.....probes are FF, well i dont really know, the engine might be the same but not the drive train

as for NISMO it means NISsan MOto....

and nissanguy is right, mugen is NOT part of honda, though they make only honda parts, it IS a seperate company.

lol...im not always wrong...i was just using mugen as an example..it IS a honda performance parts company. and i dont really give a sh!t about honda anyway. And i never even said what nismo meant... I do know about ford tho so stop pickin on me

Mugen was very closely linked with HMC since the CEO, Soichiro Honda's grandson (I forgot his name), was also the CEO of Honda. But last year he was indicted for tax evasion and they changed the name of Mugen to M-Tec, but no one calls it that.

Are you sure its the grandson or the son? Perhaps Honda's son was in change when HIS son started mugen..

As for RallyGT, take it easy on the guy we are all here to learn and spread what we know, we all make mistakes. Besides one of the rules is "IF Your going to correct a member do so respectfully"
