its a dried up salt lake or now salt flats. where land speed racing and other things are tested. due to the large open aera and being non populated it makes a great place for racing and posably drifting. but it can get a lil messy

A good place for drifting?! God, what are those guys talking about?!?!

Do you know what does the salt make to the car's chassis, or any metal, or whatever? It makes it rust. It destroys it so much that those land speed record cars need to be specially constucted to withstand salt's "attacks". After a couple of minutes, the car would look like a sieve.
