Extra stage is a seperate story line that involves Mako and Sayuki. Takumi isn't in it at all. The animation and CGI is top notch though. And for you anime nut-slappers, theres nudity. =P

For anyone who hasnt seen any of the previous episodes (before stage 4) go to e-bay and just buy the entire set, They have stages 1-3 and battle stage in a box set for like $60.

Well I have seen them all and have them all up to ep. 4 of stage 4 and I love Initial D. It is by far the bestr anime series to date. I did some reading about stage 4 and it is going to get better. For those thathave seen them all from stage 1 know that Tak got most of his skilss form his downhill runs as a tofu delivery boy for his dad who is a legendary street racer in there town. Well in 4th stage his dad comes out and start racing ins a wrx which is very tricked out and starts showing true driving skills. Look out for the latest episodes. I found this form a website that shows the air time and dvd release for japan so expect a download a week after the air date.

Also a great palce to get them all fast is from irc ifyou are good at using that or just buy them all like I did from www.ebay.com
