    I have that touge video already. Don't be fooled its not all talent, there is alotta e-brake in that video.

      yep, here are most of the specs:

      -1987 Mazda RX7 Turbo II
      -2300 lbs
      -~280 bhp... the engine builder claimed 300, but I doubt it.
      -9" Goodyear slicks (cantilevers, run on 7"x15" wheels)
      -because of tire design/construction, we ran close to 0 camber. They liked being upright.
      -stock brake calipers
      -OEM-size Brembo Rotors (cheap, and indestructible!!! Loved those things)
      -Street-port
      -modified original ECU (don't ask how... the engine builder apparently sent it off to the west coast of canada to get it done)
      -stock Hitachi turbo (same manufacturer as my microwave! haha!!)
      -we found a tie-rod for the right-rear of a dirt sprint car... light aluminum... bought it for a grand total of $15 US, welded some tabs on our struts, and used it as a strut brace. Looked killer too.
      -used a Volvo 740 turbo intercooler for a while, but it had a ton of leaks, so we just mounted the stock intercooler up front to finish off the 2001 season
      -We kept the suspenion pretty low budget.... KYB replacement shocks, with the Apex lowering springs that came with the car (even with sh*tty suspension, I was able to stay with the cars with $20k in suspension alone... we didn't have that in our entire car!)
      -rear wing was my own design, but the profile was too extreme for the car. at 120 mph, the rear suspension would be on the bump-stops.
      -to even it out, we put on a giant front splitter. I could corner with some of the GT1 tubeframe cars with it set up like that.
      -stock 28 lb flywheel. That thing KILLED the car. (a 12 lb flywheel and a bigger turbo and injectors was our plan for the following year, but instead, we bought the corvette.)
      -stock transmission. fickle thing it was.
      -solid racing clutch disc, and I think it had a different pressure plate... not fun loading the car on the trailer with that clutch....
      -stock LSD... seemed to do the job.
      -stock sway bars... the thing rolled like a champ.
      -totally gutted interior, with 20 point cage (tied in everywhere we could think of... roof, pillars, etc, etc... made the chassis stiff as hell).
      -kirkey road race seat.
      -ricey carbon fibre shift knob (came with the car when we bought it)
      -solid motor mounts... rattled the car like crazy on the grid.
      -3" exhaust all the way back from the turbo
      -two stock blow-off valves, instead of the usual one...
      -stock-car radiator (cheap, and kept the thing SO cold....)
      -mounted the oil-cooler right up front.


      that's all I can think of.... it was a LOW budget racer... definitely not anything like the FC3S.org car or anything from japan... haha. Still, I won the regional GT2 championship with it, beating Porsche 944 Turbos, and even some of the GT1 cars in the process... Great little car.

      We ended up selling it to a friend, who raced it for a year... Then he committed the cardinal sin, and didn't watch the temp guage. Overheated, killed the motor. He's rebuilding it as we speak, possibly as a N/A, so he can run in Touring in this series we have in Ontario right now....

          Ah, roll cages... they're the Viagra of cars.

          Can't do anything with that power if your machine ain't stiff

            That's what I said :P

            When you see the in-cockpit video, they're e-braking on every turn, and their line is pretty poor when you see how they take the corners (relatively speaking. I simply mean with their line, they're slower than they could be with better apexing.).

                I guess so..they do e-brake, but i'm not that good so i applaude it!
