  • Limited slip diferential. or posi-traction for my CHEVETTE

does anyone knows if there is a LSD or posi traction system to improve the power delivery of my drift Chevrolet chevette. i suposse there is something aviable, probably in the united states. any chevette owners can help me or tell me anything that can be usefull. i'll take anything from a universal adaptable thing to a full wide modification. i just need the ideas... thaxs a lot. this is my ride.. from caracas venezuela.. eats Vtec for dinner every night

I'm sorry, there's no free lunch as far as chevette posi goes.
You'll have to do a swap, but I have one in the works. I can pm the details if you want...

oh, and you're gonna want to get rid of that understeer. i got that one for you too.

the chevette is a 6.5 ring gear, but as far as i have found out is not the same as the monza 6.5, and niether is really strong.

My idea is to use a transplant rear near the same width (or a tad wider) and soild trailing arms connected by u- bolts with perches fixed on top of them in the original spring position. I want to use something like an 8.8 from ford, and possibly dics brakes, which also don't come on chevettes.

think about the ford 9" rear end... they are relatively cheap... also, think about perhaps running a rear end out of an AE86 Toyota.

              HERE no AE86

sorry, no AE86 for us in SOUTH AMERICA, *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored*, if we had any, i'll have one for sure. i dream bout that little hachi everytime i smoke a blunt, anyways i'm gonna look for a compatible rear end, all corollas here are Front wheel drive,

another thing i know differentials can be made to work like a Posi traction by locking the planetary's together, welding them. it works like a full time power delivery, but affects cornering too much, i've tried and cause the wheels always spin at the same rate u have to forget bout daily driving... too harsh to handle everyday
