yo im new on this site and i thot id say wats up
im 15 turn 16 in december i dont know a whole lot about drifting but i researched it for a wile then got interested in integras and then my friend let me drive his 240 in the rain and now im back to drifting lol

do any of you guys drive fwd cars? im still debating on to either get an integra gsr (dc2) or a 240(s13) if i got the 240 i wanna swap the sr20det in it but id rather just buy a shell or something or find one already with the swap with no or mild mods. could any of you guys help me decide? any help would work thanks

Well what do you want to do driving wise? Drift, Grip, Auto-X, or just pimp the ladies?

Or do you want to have a solid car like the Acura, or a money pit like the Nissan?

well i havnt really decided i want to drift but i dont think id be able to afford the tires reguarly so id probably do a little drifting until i could afford tires but id like to run around the road courses around here.

          ...isnt' that a bike? ...PIMP!

the DC2 (i think the RSX is the DC5) isn't that suitable for drifting because of it's front wheel drive. Otherwise, it's a solid beginner's car that can last for ages.

Keep pimping the ladies with the bike until the lisence comes along.

Theres a RSX that comes to drift days all the time, scared the *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* out of me sometimes, when he would ride on 3 wheels.

I use to have a FWD car. 2002 GTI 1.8t. car was fast as hell. Teggys are fun as hell. there where 9 GSRs at my highschool at one point, and i can tell you that they where all very very fast. As for the 240, sweet looking car and a great way in join drifting. But i wouldn't talk about a swap and everythign just yet. U really dont need a lot of hp do drift. I know a kid who i think just has intake and exhaust (and lots of suspension, that is where drifting is. in the suspension) and he drifts great! it really depends on what you want to do. Drag race? i would say teggy, lots of parts for the money, and everyone works on them. AutoX / drift? 240 in a second. Very well balanced car. Lots of understeer (worst feeling EVERRRRR! (in the voice of simpsons comic book man)) but im told that it goes away once you put some decent suspension on it. BTW, drifting doesnt pimp ladys to well. Lots of people crash and so the car is always dinged up, and also lots of girls (not all) get really scared when the car is going another way besides stright.

do some grip, and then once you learn all about weight tansfer, throttle control, etc. start drifting. Its good to be able to take a turn while ur going fast before you slide ur rear end out around a turn while going fast.

                    Also i would read:

Newbies Drifting 101 Part 1 the Car
Drifting 101 part 2, The tail comes out
Drifting 101 Part 3 My first corner!

And also, people might dis this video, but i would try and get a hold of The Drift Bible which you can order off of driting.com. It just a good informational video that shows you the basics of drifting.

I have no idea, but i'd say 240 would be a bit better because of RWD, the steering wheel can go farther to the sides (smaller turning circle). 240s also have lots of parts available. The bad thing is that most 240s in the US and Canada are in bad condition, old, and rusty.

The integra would be great if you want any sort of modification, because of the abundance of parts and they're ****in cheap! Their only weakness is in it's FF layout, and would naturally understeer at high speeds. (any dumbass would know this, at least)
