yo my friend has 89 or 90 240 with a blown motor and auto tranny...should i buy his car(he said he mite be able to sell it for 500$) should i buy it and do the sr20det swap?

but i have some questions about the swap. would i be able to use the belts and some of the misc parts needed for the swap?is the swap hard or should i let a shop do it?

would i need a boost controller(as in electroincs)?or any other turbo stuff or does that come with the swap?

Sounds like a good deal, but remember you dont need an SR to drift. Anyways, just buy a front clip rather then just a motor and it will come with everything that you need for the swap, odds are you wont need anything new. And have a shop do it, unless you are reallly really really good with a wrench.

i know i dont have to have an sr to drift but if i get a 240 i would prob swap it sooner or later and since the motors blown i mite as well do it now

You could always do what my buddy did and do a auto > manual swap.. grantedh e works in a shop, so he has access to the tools and help (Though he did a huge majority of the work on his own)
