I recently bought two Porsche 944's (N/A) and am an experianced SCCA racer, but my friend who just came to Germany from Japan has been drifting for a few years and has got me interested. I understand that the 944 is a great handling car, but I am not sure how good of a drift car they will make. I am in the process of stripping them down to essentials and replacing the body panels with fiber glass. If anyone has drifted these cars let me know whats up.

Chassis and motor wise I think a 944 would make a great drift car I'm just not sure the drive train, specifically around the clutch area (throwout, and pilot bearing) is up for the abuse of alot of hard clutch kicks.
