240sx/Silvias

Hi everyone, I'm kind of a noob here and I'm wondering which year 240sx's match up with which Silvia's (S13, S14 and S15) at least body style.
I think its:
S13=89-94
S14=95-96
S15=97-98

almost right, S14 had 2 front ends, kouki, and zenki, zenkis were 95/96, koukis were 97/98, 99 started the S15s in Japan only, and i think there were made untill 2000, but not sure about that.

what about the engines though?
some of them has a sr20det's
and i have seen some that swaped in a rv26dett

S13 started with CA18DE and CA18DET carried over from the S12. In 1991, the S13 saw the SR20DE and SR20DET. All the Silvias from that point on came with SR20's stock. For the zenki S14, the engine got a larger turbo as well as Nissan's version of VTEC. The S15 SR20DET received better engine management and a turbo upgrade, yielding about 250bhp.

The 240sx only ever came with the KA24E and KA24DE stock.

Hopefully this cleared some stuff up.

i have been looking at some forums and they say to start out with a 240sx, but witch one? s13 or 14?

either one, which ever you can find in good enough condition and is reasonably enough priced
