Hey guys, I'm looking in to buying my next car. My brother is gettin my Tiburon, and I want to move up to something that is turbo and rwd. The only problem is I have to go through a dealer (due to low income since I'm in college and need more to qualify for a private loan), so that limits a wide amount of cars I have looked at...(240sx's with sr20's etc...vehicles that are selling by private individuals) I was wondering what cars anyone can suggest that won't be a pain to find through a dealer, or if anyone does know of a financing company or bank which will give a student an auto loan.

If you do it right, you can get an auto loan through a bank without too much hassle, even through a private seller. It's just important to know that the bank will have the pink for your car 'till it's paid off, just like if you financed a new car.
What you need to do is tell your bank you're applying for an auto loan, (this is after you've picked a car and talked to the owner about buying it). As long as your credit is good enough, they simply transfer funds into the previous owners account, and everything is signed over.
The reason auto loans are kinda easy to get is they have pretty good collateral, the car. You miss a payment or 2 they repo the car on you.
I myself am not a big fan of buying through owners like this, but it's a reasonable way to get yourself into a vehicle. My brother did this about 2 years ago, that's why I'm familiar with the process. It got him into an almost new car, way cheaper than if he'd gone through a dealer. -

You've limited yourself TOO much.
Try to find a decent S14, or something decent and rwd at a dealer, then mod yourself.Comment

I would say 350z if your going dealer ...do what I did when I got my ae86 call dealers in your local area and ask them to find you a car.Comment
